What are you doing/eating today? Saturday!

It's sort of cool and cloudy here in Baltimore. After that heatwave, I'll take it!

I'm about to make my breakfast then schlep to the farmer's market for some fresh milk. I love getting it from a creamery I know and I love my little glass bottle even more and yes I know that I am a dork.

Today I have a housewarming party to go to. I am supposed to bring something. I'm thinking a cheesecake since they say they need desserts or sides but do I really feel like making a cheesecake? Like really? Plus I don't keep sugar in my house. Maybe I'll go with some kind of dip. Yeah...that seems like a better idea.

Anway, eats today:

1. About to make my Saturday pancakes. I make them with Atkins Mix so LOTS of protein!
2. I will probably eat at the party which starts at 2 (who has a party that starts at 2 btw?)
3. I've been trying to keep my protein totals high so I may have a Click Frappe when I get home. I am also making some protein pudding to use up the rest of the milk I have from the current bottle (which is about to expire)
4. I love my fish taco w/ guac and mango sauce so much I think I will make it again tonight. Subbing lettuce for a tortilla means I have room for TWO of those bad boys!
5. If I get the munchies later I'll either have edamame or cucumber slices with ranch.

I am a late evening worker. I work late evenings. I do not work at 0'dark thirty... so why do I insist on doing overtime at 5am???? Gah

OT 0500-0730 and now home for what might shape up to be a free day! WOOT! It is POURING rain so I don't feel guilty about not working outside on the one million projects waiting on me. I do feel guilty about not running, since I have a state of the art gym about 100yds away from my desk. What does that say about me? No guilt that my yard and house look like something off of "Hoarders", but feel bad about missing time on the dreadmill?
I'll hang out with my mom some, probably work OT late tonight. Other than that, I see a nap in the near future.

B - chocolate protein, 1/2 banana, tad of PB2
S - Quest
L - tuna on 1/2 deli flat, carrots, celery, tomato
S - cottage cheese and SF jello w/ fruit maybe?
D - Nik's Taco casserole if I ever get it out of the freezer, lots of veggies
S - probably another quest since I will be working until 11pm

edited - ok, ended up with a horrid lunch - fried chicken (did remove the skin), potato salad, cabbage and 1/4 yeast roll. So I will end up changing the rest of the day for calories

I woke up the heavy rain this morning too about 8.  Today is my birthday so we are spending the day in Annapolis.  I love walking around the harbour and seeing all the old houses and brick streets.

Breakfast: sugar free latte

Late lunch/early dinner:  lots of seafood somewhere in Annapolis

probably snacks and a protein bar too and a trip to my favorite Starbucks in a 17th Century Inn in Annapolis

Have a fun time today!

Protein and stuff from the garden.  Just had squash casserole with eggs and cheese for lunch, will have green beans with supper.  Right now I have a bucket of green beans to put up.  I'll appreciate them this winter.

Worked from 0730-0950 this morning training a new physician. Then I sped my ass of to get to yoga at 10... 15 miles away. Barely made it with a half minute to spare. Just enough time to change.

Water, green tea, then protein bar for breakfast before yoga.

Starbucks skinny decaf latte after.

Then a piece of sf vanilla cake. It was free, I ate a piece. Now it's in the trash. I shoulda just left it well enough alone but oh we'll.

Now to drink a lot of water.

I have to have a difficult conversation with my 17 yo who has decided that friends, drinking and partying are the IT thing to do. She's quit soccer, had been playing for 10 years. She was supposed to be spending the night with a friend last night and then we get a call at 1 am. She went to a party, cops showed up and she'd been drinking. This is twice in the past few months.  The first tme was a parent catching them at their house.  She just thought life was hard before...

Im not sure how to handle this, but it has to stop. She's too smart to throw things away like his.

Heather...sorry to hear your going through this.  17 is a hard age to deal with.  You gotta be a good role model and give her the tools to deal with her peers.  I always tell my daughter if she has to be around kids drinking she can carry a can of beer around without drinking it or she can NOT drink at all.  But if she has to drink to do it in her own home so she doesn't have to drive.  But i raised my kids in an alcohol free home in hopes that i could avoid this.  And i did.  My youngest is 18...almost 19 and as far as i know is NOT drinking..my oldest is not much of a drinker either.    Good luck and do lots of talking and watch for the signs.  A bit of counseling might not hurt and treatment if it starts to get really out of hand.

Breakfast:  working at 5 in the morning totally makes me so hungry so i try to make decent choices..i always have Fage 0% yogurt, a banana and either a rice cake with pb/polander or some low fat cheese (1 slice) with 4 multigrain crackers.

Lunch : I had a smart one creamy chicken parmesan and some home grown cucs..nummy

snack: so far a couple popsycles..need to drink some tea my liquid intake has sucked lately

Dinner:  not sure but maybe some chicken cooked in FF Cr. of chix soup/lipton onion soup/light sour cream with a side of green beans.

Snacks...maybe some cottage cheese....
