They both sound like decent options for you if you could use the calories and have trouble getting in the protein. I always say the best protein choice for you is the one you will eat. It doesn't matter how awesome it is if it just sits on the shelf...
They aren't good options for me for a few reasons. First, the calorie to protein ratio is way off. I have to justify my calories to myself, and if I'm justifying something as a protein supplement it has to have at least a 10 calorie to 1 gram ratio. Meaning the first one needs at least 21 grams and the second at least 11. That's just me.
The two serving bar would be one serving for me, especially if it tastes like candy - so the fat and sugar grams (14 and 12) would be too much, especially since there is added sugar in the ingredients (in the first ingredient actually). The second one is a *little* better in the sugars (5) but the fat is still high (12).
But the calorie to protein ratio would be the clincher for me.
That's not to say I would never eat something that didn't fit the above rules, I just wouldn't make it a habit, nor could I justify it as a protein supplement. It would simply be a treat.
Last night's Fritos certainly didn't fit into any rules at all. :)
