You all know me as the old chick, but I was once a newbie too!

And I have the blog posts to prove it. If anyone is interested in what I was like, thinking, etc. as a new post-op, here are a few selections I just came across in an old blog I used to keep.

At 12 days post-op:

After my two-week follow-up, after which I was thrilled to have lost 12.8 lbs.

The heights of my early scale obsession:

Just over 6 months post-op and 100 lbs. down:

I stopped posting as often after that fall and in 2009 I started Bariatric Foodie so that's where most of my energy went. It has been so fun reading the "old me." I forget her sometimes, but she was a cool chick!

Anyway, I hope something in there provides a laugh, some encouragement, something.

 You?  Old chick?  Never!

Never mind the fact that I happen to know I am two years older than you.

I was speaking of my Bariatric age...

For the record, I am 25 and I will be for at least another 9 years ;) This is called the "Michael Jackson Method of Aging." Except without weird plastic surgery. Well...maybe a little...

For the record - she is still a Cool Chick!

I really enjoyed reading those blogettes... you should have been a writer because you do it so well (er... maybe you are a writer and I just don't know it... LOL) I saw so much of my own stuff (since I am a relative newbie) in what you wrote. I wish I would have blogged from the beginning but can't undo that so just move forward.

ps - what ever happened with that guy?

pps - I think I am older than all of y'all!

 Um...I am a writer.

It's what I do for a living. It still surprises the hell out of me that I earn an actual paycheck from it but wonders never cease!
