Random Poll o' the Week: The last time...

I was thinking about these things myself so I thought I’d make it into my latest random poll.

You don’t have to put any more information about these things than you wish do divulge, but when was the last time you:

Had a “soul cleansing cry"? (And Paul not a word about poo’ing in relation to this question!)

Had a deep-gut belly laugh?

Said “what the heck" and did something fun?

Took a nap in the middle of the day?

Called someone you haven’t spoken to in a while just to check up on them?

Told someone you were thankful for them?

Did something you never thought you’d do.

Felt speechless.

Felt truly amazed by something.

I would say it was about a week ago. I was listening to my Beyonce CD and "I was here" came on and I started thinking about mom. That was a good cry. I think she heard it and gave me a hug because I felt better after.

Had a deep-gut belly laugh?

It hasn't been since the children left. My oldest has a knack for one-liners in the car that have in the past made me have to pull over to compose myself.

Said “what the heck" and did something fun?

Last week. Sorta. I took my last $40 and got a spa pedicure. Not crazy wild fun but ohhhhh so worth it.

Took a nap in the middle of the day?

It's been a while. I generally don't nap or sleep a lot. But every now and again I'll take a nice restful nap.

Called someone you haven’t spoken to in a while just to check up on them?

A week and some change ago. My BFF Lee to see if he was faring ok with so many people without electricity.

Told someone you were thankful for them?

This one I do at least once a day. Not always intentionally. It kinda just shoots out of my mouth!

Did something you never thought you’d do.

I would say that would be the running the 5k on the treadmill in 32 minutes. Not Speed Racer or anything but considering in my heavier days it took me nearly 17 minutes to do a mile it was a damn good moment.

Felt speechless.

See the roommate drama thread I posted. But I got over it quickly!

Felt truly amazed by something.

The 4th of July. I caught a glimpse of my oldest daughter and she is becoming a young woman with the mannerisms of a young woman and all at once I
felt joyful and sad and blessed to be woman who brought forth another beautiful woman into the world.

I had the cry recently, within the last month.

Deep-gut belly laugh...at least once a day! lol

Said what the heck the Friday before surgery and went to a waterfall and hiked down to the rocks and played under the fall. Then hiked back up. My 12 yr old happened to slice open his foot on the rocks. I had rip off my shirt and tie it around the gash and we double timed it back up the mountain!! He is ok now! lol That was quite an adventure. Thank goodness I had on a bathing suit under my clothes!

I did that the day before yesterday. lol I did just have surgery a week ago! ;)

ummmm...I called my beloved cousin I hardly ever speak to about a month ago to see how he is doing. I love him dearly and our lives have kinda drifted us apart. He is the reason I decided to go back to school and get my degree.

I tell my kids, fiance and my mom that all the time!

hmmm...Something I never thought I would do...hmmm...I guess I would have to go back to the former statement with, racing up a mountain to take my child to the ER because he gashed his foot on a rock under a waterfall! oh yeah, and had to rip off my shirt and use it as a turniquette and bandage.

Was speechless...everytime Mitt Romney opens his piehole.

I am amazed daily at how lucky I am in this life, to have been blessed with my beautiful children and my family!

Had a "soul cleansing cry"? - over 7 years ago the day before my mom passed.

Had a deep-gut belly laugh? - about a month ago watching my kittens play Keystone Cops chasing the laser pointer.

Said "what the heck" and did something fun? - too long... I can't remember!

Took a nap in the middle of the day? - Friday after putting the second coat of paint on the bedroom.

Called someone you haven't spoken to in a while just to check up on them? - About a month ago... a friend from college.

Told someone you were thankful for them? - Friday... my hubby... he's right there by my side through whatever I'm going through... the good, the bad and the ugly.

Did something you never thought you'd do. Be in a size 8 in my adulthood.

Felt speechless. - 3 weeks ago when my husband lot his job.

Felt truly amazed by something. My weight loss... I still shock myself when I pass by a mirror.

Had a “soul cleansing cry”? (And Paul not a word about poo’ing in relation to this question!)

Can't remember

Had a deep-gut belly laugh?

A few days ago while watching True Hollywood Stories: Rick James (youtube)

Said “what the heck” and did something fun?

yesterday, dancing to Beyonce's Get Me Bodied

Took a nap in the middle of the day?

Today while watching a movie with my son

Called someone you haven’t spoken to in a while just to check up on them?

What is this 'telephone' you speak of?

Told someone you were thankful for them?

My husband when I came home from the hospital and saw the house was still clean

Did something you never thought you’d do.

When I moved to Europe

Felt speechless.

Forgot

Felt truly amazed by something.

Seeing the Swiss Alps for the first time then stopping on a mountain top in the summer to drink water pouring down the mountain side.

Had a “soul cleansing cry"? (And Paul not a word about poo’ing in relation to this question!)  I feel it coming.  It's time.  There's too much in my brain, and it needs out.

Had a deep-gut belly laugh?  Yesterday.  My broken pulled out and huuuuuurts.

Said “what the heck" and did something fun?  Not nearly enough.  But I did wade into the ocean yesterday.  Whoa.

Took a nap in the middle of the day?  Yesterday.

Called someone you haven’t spoken to in a while just to check up on them?  Um.

Told someone you were thankful for them?  Everyday.

Did something you never thought you’d do.  :X

Felt speechless.  Often.

Felt truly amazed by something.
