Random Poll o' the Week

 Oh wow! We were stationed in Fairbanks. It's small,  it I fell in love with it. I hope your trip is wonderful. We tried to see as much of AK as we could, but I regret that we never made it it Juneau. It was just expensive to fly and you can't drive there! 
Anyway I could go on  for along time about AK. I hope you love your time there :).

- have at least 2 babies
- go to paris and visit the chanel atelier 
- attend the met gala
- sit in the front row at a major fashion show (this and the 2 above mean that i have "made it" in my career)
- meet brian, nick, and aj from the backstreet boys (already met howie and kevin lol)

 Um...I sorta wanna be you now.

 haha i have big dreams, doesn't mean i'm gonna come even close though. but my favorite professor just got a job as the conservator at the costume instiute so at least i have an in now... and one of my professors this upcoming semester is an assistant curator there.

Cool! My husband and I have done the Dale Jarrett driving experience TWICE. It is awesome. What we liked about the DJ experience is that there are up to 6 cars on the track at a time and you actually get to pass other people and such. Unless it's changed, the Richard Petty one allows one car on the track at a time. Either way, it's a cool thing to do! Hope you get to do it some day!

Of course, both times were surprises for my hubby from me, making me wife of the year.

I'll have to check into the DJ experience. That sounds more fun. One car on the track sounds like being on the highway by yourself.

 I don't have a bucket list, really. But if I did, there's a whole heap of things that would be on it, but they're not really things I want to DO as much as places and things I want to see.

At the top of the list is a visit to Israel.
I want to pray at the Western Wall and float in the Dead Sea. I want to see the Temple Mount and stand in the Red Sea. I want that overwhelmingly sacred feeling of having come home to the roots of my faith, where it all began.

I'd like to visit subsaharan Africa and volunteer in the clinics. I have always wanted to work for Peace Corps, but then kids and life got in the way. Maybe it'll be part of my retirement plan. 

I want to see the Tahitian islands.

I want to watch the crab boats come in on the Alaskan archipelagos. 

I'd like to see the Northern Lights.

I'd like to see the pyramids of Egypt and the great ruins. Again, going back to spiritual roots. 

I want to go spelunking. Real spelunking, with rappel ropes and camping gear--not just a day hike through a little cave. 

I'd like a farmhouse on a large stretch of land, near an ocean. I don't necessarily want to grow anything, I just want the land and a bunch of large dogs and some goats. 

 i wanted to do the peace corps thing too. i wanted to work in orphanages in russia. and then there was a locked up abroad episode about people who did that and got kidnapped and i go too scared haha.

To swim with the dolphins and manta rays in Florida.
