Throwing up cherries... how odd
I am one of those people who never had problems throwing up post-op. I was 18 months out before I threw up for the first time (not counting some barium, LOL) and I can count on one hand the number of times that I have thrown food up in the past 5 years except when I was ill.
It is now cherry season, and I love cherries, so I made a small fruit salad as "dessert" after dinner that had two strawberries, three raspberries, and 6 cherries topped with a tablespoon of Cool Whip. I have eaten all of these things MANY times since surgery, including two days ago. Almost as soon as I finished one strawberry, one raspberry and all 6 cherries, I suddenly knew it was coming back up. No particular nausea or distress, just the unmistakable feeling that I was going to throw up... and as soon as I did I felt (and still feel) just fine.
Very odd. Just thought I would share an example of how sometimes, even many years out, the pouch just kind of has a mind of its own...
