Drinking protein coffee now with 10 oz of 1% milk. Oh how I love my protein coffee...ahh. I'm having a late start to my day but this is the plan:
Protein coffee (above)
B: one egg scrambled with sausage, cheese, and roasted red peppers
S: Apple with peanut butter split half pre/half post workout
L: Lamb meatloaf (5 oz) with cheese, blueberries for dessert
S: Protein shake with 10oz 1% milk, 2-4 Tbs peanut butter (depending on how hard my workout is) and vanilla unjury.
D: Dijon chicken (4 oz +/-) with squash, 2 oz chocolate with 1/2-1 cup raspberries for dessert. yum.
S: If I'm hungry later I can have 2 oz of beef jerky and 5-10 prunes. I know, sounds gross but it's my new obsession: dried beef and dried fruit together. Hits the spot!
Have a great day all!

Today, I am going to have some blueberry banana nut oatmeal made with soy milk and a scoop of protein powder for breakfast. For lunch, I have an 11 AM job interview in a town about 25 min away. So that means no stopping at the house for lunch. I will probably try to find something to eat around town. I was thinking I would stop at the sushi bar for some shabu shabu or narato rolls. For dinner, I am going to grill out LOL.... some grilled salmon and veggies with a dill sauce for dinner. I don't really want to heat the house up any more than I have to!!
So I didn't log dinner after I ate last night, and I was trying to remember everything to add it to my log today. I hate when I do that. I know I am omitting something! I just cant' remember eating anything else... I came in at just over 1200 calories for yesterday, so even allowing for error and memory lapse and allowing another 300 calories (which I'm almost positive is a GENEROUS allowance) I still came in at a good number. I feel *thinner* today.
It's odd how when you have a good eating day your body image responds to it. When I have a crap eating day I feel so FAT and BLOATED. Thinking.
Eats for today:
20 oz of water on the way to work.
B - Fage, frozen cherries, splenda
s - decaf, ff creamer, splenda
L - Hillshire Farms grilled essentials chicken breast (high in sodium but quick and easy). I also brought some cottage cheese and an apple.
s - 1 1/2 scoop mint cookie protein made with water
D - no idea. Squash? My family is so tired of squash! Maybe we'll go out to dinner. We haven't been in a long time, we are trying to play catch up and get money in vs money out under control. I'd like to buy a *new to me* car with all the bells and whistles. I have a Murano and love it, but I want to trade up on a newer fancier version. :D
s - don't know if I'll have one.
I have a massage at 3 today so I'm cutting out of work early!! I won a massage gift certificate at my yoga studio a few months back so I am cashing it in today!
I probably will not work out tonight. I have 3 hours of yoga tomorrow. My usual hour long power core class, followed by a 2 hour acro yoga workshop (google it - it's cool). Basically one person serves as the "base" and the other is the "flier". The base lays on the floor on their back, arms and legs straight up. The flier does various yoga poses, balances, and stretches using the base's hands and feet as points. I'm excited! I hope someone takes pictures to post!

Was up early today..Colleen is shopping for work, so our son got up and went to gym early. Had to slow down a bit at gym, weather is changing and my back pain is way up. But 30 minutes is better than staying in bed. Just done mowing 1/2 yard today rest will have to wait.
B- 2 poached eggs and 1.5 slices dry wheat
L- strawberries
D- hope Colleen will stop at the fish market on the way home
S- coffee and almonds I guess

Breakfast: Greek Yogurt with blueberries.
Lunch: Stop somewhere and eat protein by way of meat.
Dinner: Same as lunch.
I can't drink protein drinks unless I am home because they often cause diarrhea. I have plenty to have once there. I've already warned everyone that I may be in the outhouse beside them. It is a two seater outhouse. LOL The protein bars give me cramps so they are out as well.
We will be leaving around lunch time for almost 3 wks to camp in the mountains. I say camping but we are staying in a rustic cabin that has no indoor plumbing. Our SUV is loaded with all our supplies. I totally busted my budget on food for that time. It takes almost 2 hrs to get down the mountain and to the nearest grocery store so we don't plan to leave till time to come home. It takes us 12 hours to get there. No phone service, computers or television. The kids get to find ways to have fun and stay busy like in the old days.
We are taking one grandchild with us and our 4 legged family members. Six more will join us. Son, daughter and her fiance and 4 more grand kids. Sadly, one daughter and granddaughter can't take the time off. It was planned last summer as family time. This is a first time experience for three of the six joining us. I'm really not all that excited about going as I like my own bed and bathroom but it is important to my DH that I go.
I did some precooking and froze the meals. (Sloppy Joe's, chili, King Ranch chicken) The rest my husband will cook - steak, chicken, hamburgers, hot dogs, sausage, etc over the campfire for dinner. Breakfast he has planned Huevos Rancheros, breakfast burritos, omelette's, egg mcmuffins, bacon, eggs, hash browns, etc. However, I'll be having my protein and yogurt most of the time for breakfast. I did throw in some turkey bacon for me. He loves doing this so we always have good meals. A lot of protein so I will be fine. We usually have just the two meals a day because breakfast is mid morning. We do take sandwich fix-ins in case the younger ones have to have a third meal.
HARPER'S FERRY SOUNDS FUN!

Dr's set goal: 170 reached Oct 11, 2012
My goal: 160 reached Dec 1, 2012
Today : 145-150
I am half the person I was in 2008.
Well at this moment in time my 20 pound maine coon cat is lying on my arms as I try to respond. He apparantly didn't get the memo that it's HOT and 20 pounds of long-haired heat-generating PURRball is just not conducive to comfort.
Today my plan is to be a total slug. I'm going to log into my work computer and type up a test that I caan't stand to use in it's current awful state (it's created by a company that is bilking our district of gazillions of dollars, and yet the test is UGLY, poorly prepared, with different fonts for different questions, some symbols hand drawn, none of them using current textbook standards for mathematical expresssions (I've written and edited for a variety of textbooks and test-help books). One in five questions are flawed (with actual errors) one in five uses alternative symbols, like I used to have to do when I wrote my first math book with a manual typewriter. One in five has quirky language, and one in five is a grammatical nightmare. SO, I'll rewrite the test (currently it's also 40 pages long) and when I'm done it will be 8 pages long, professional done, and it will be a valid instrument to determine if students have learned the materials. I'm actually planning to write to one of my old Statistics professors, and ask him if he could write a short opinion piece about the fallacy of believing in a statistical analysis of test scores while at the same time using a test riddled with errors. (My master's was in education with an emphasis on testing). With that opinion piece from my old professor, I plan to write to the company, and send a copy to the district asking for this company's justification for touting their statistical analysis when they don't use a valid instrument in the first place. When we first started to use them, I sent them a list of 15 things wrong with my 60 question test they made for us. Everything from flat out errors, to more minor (but insidiously BAD errors, there are studies to prove that tests that have an inconsistent format result in a poorer performance average than tests with no errors and absolute consistency). They changed the one test, but then I realized that the 8 hours I had spent on that test was "free labor" to them. I won't do it any more, but I will point it out to them and to the district. They may be the bees knees when it comes to statistical analysis, but if the data is flawed, the analysis is useless. (I know this from my BS in Statistics)
Anyway, today I'm just writing the test, or rather re-writing it, to give to my summer school kids. I just CAN'T give a lousy test when I know it's lousy and have the time to fix it.
So far today I've had a slice of quiche and half a protein shake (10 oz or so). I'll probably have a second protein shake, then some Fage with fresh sliced peach in it. Later (after another protein shake) I'll possibly have another slice of quiche. More protein shake(s) during the afternoon I might have 8 oz of almond milk at some point, and before bed I'll have marinated artichoke hearts, cheese, and snap peas.
Tomorrow, I plan to begin to exercise. The next day will be a week from today (I'm teaching summer school, and the chosen exercise is during the work day). As of Friday, I have 5 or 6 weeks off, and I plan to exercise every morning 6 days a week for the entire time, and then when we get home from exercising, hubby and I have plans to completely clean our place from stem to stern, move our bedroom furniture all around, inventory all our boxes of junk sitting in the garage, and generally tidy up our lives. (This is exercise plan B... hopefully to be done in addition to the swimming in the morning.) Hubby wants us to drive to Colorado, but we just got a new kitten, and I don't want to leave him for 10 days, and I don't want a huge chunk of the days I planned to exercise to come into the middle of it and just provide me with an excuse NOT to do it. Hubby could go to see his mum in Colorado without me of course, but since we only have one car, that would be the same as my going with, I stilll wouldn't be able to get to the pool while he is gone)
Ah well... 4 more days of work, and then I don't report back to wor****il the 4th of August.

I'm baking cookies today. I took my car to get detailed this morning, and forgot to take my bakery signs off the doors. The lady who signed me in saw them and ribbed me about not bringing them any goodies. And then she offered me a ride home in their courtesy truck, so...clearly, now I have to bake her some cookies. I'm making her chocolate chip scotchies, filled with caramel. My house smells yummy.
Anyway, breakfast was a couple of string cheeses. Not feeling too hungry today.
Lunch...? No idea. Maybe a Lean Cuisine, but I don't really want anything hot. maybe greek yogurt.
I made whole grain pasta and turkey meatballs for dinner last night and my son said, "This is so good, can we have it again tomorrow?" Score. So I need to go pick up some pasta sauce so I can switch it up a little. Will probably make a little salad to go with it.
