Not to "date" myself too much here I can remember pulling concrete in Houston, TX in the Summer of 1980 when we had over a straight month of 100+ degree days. I want to say we started at 5:30 or 6:00 in the morning and called it a day round 2:00 PM.

Steak, a few French Fries and a spoonful of apple salad for supper.  Plan on taking a walk afterwards when it hopefully cools down a bit.

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

That instantly took me back to my youth in the 80's spent getting up hay in the blazing sun. Ick. I was really young, but child labor laws do not protect you from your grandparents and farm work!

Sweating in every single solitary crack on my body & sick of this heat. This is why I would rather have the cold and snow. I need to move away from the deep South. I think. But we probably won't and can't.

I am truly not an irritable person usually, unless I am hot.

I'm still reasonably new in all this, just eight months out, and I'm trying to figure out what quinoa is.

Quinoa is a grain - or is that a seed - anyways, it's sort of like rice.  You can buy it in packages and in bulk.  Good to lightly toast it first, or rinse well then cook as directed.  Good with bouillon instead of water added.  Use in rice replacement dishes or in cold salad..yum.....quinoa (KEENWAH), edamame beans, black beans, red peppers makes a good salad.

Flaked quinoa is a good replacement for Cream of Wheat... cook about 3 tsp with water in the micro, 90 seconds.  Add cinnamon, artificial brown sugar, milk.  Yum.  I sometime add a scoop of unflavoured soy protein powder and a bit more water and then nuke it......

Did you mean three TBSP of flaked quinoa? I'm trying to imaging cooking 3 tsp (teaspoons).
