What are you eating/doing today? HUMP DAY!

I am sort of pumped. Well pumped but warned.

PAUL - I officially had a Paul C. "push through the pain" moment in the gym!!! My vitamin D is forever tanking. I take a bazillion IU's of the stuff and it still limps along. My body doth not like the stuff! Anyway I was in between bottles for about a week and...you guessed it...it is plummeting. I can usually tell because I get really bad foot spasms when it's going down (I don't know what the correlation in that is, it just is).

So anyway...I was on the bike in the gym. It's a program called Expresso that lets you do different bike tours but you can also create a "ghost" of your best rid to compete against on the little tv screen. Well last time at the gym my ghost kicked my ass. I was NOT about to let that happen again. So I pedaled my heart out (and keep in mind this was about a four mile ride with inclines as high as +10 - which to Paul is prolly nothin but for me it is DEATH). And out of nowhere - WHAMMO! - a foot spasm. I stopped for a moment and damn if my ghost (it really does look like a ghost on a bike) passes me on the screen!!!

OH HELL NO! Spasm or no spasm I pedaled my ass off until I got a 13 second lead on that sucker. Somewhere in the middle of this insanity the spasm went away. Paul...I hope you are proud!

Anyhoo...eats for today. It's hot! I made hot weather food.

I'm 146 this morning - which is NOT, by all means, a bad number - but it's not comfortable for me.  My clothes are snug.  I'm self conscious.  I want at least 10 of them gone.  I wore my warm up jacket OVER my workout clothes at the gym because what I saw in the mirror made me want to cry.

It's body image issues resurfacing all over again over the gain I'm trying unsuccessfully to get rid of.  It's 5 pounds down, 6 pounds up, 7 pounds down, 5 pounds up.  It's wreaking havoc on my head.

I was so bloated and gassy yesterday I could not fathom running.  So I walked 3 miles at a 10.0 incline on the mill.  According to the tracker it burned just as much, the intensity was just lower.

16 oz water on the drive to work.
B - greek yogurt, fruit, splenda
s - decaf, creamer, splenda
L - whatever is appropriate from what's catered (8 hour systemwide meeting today)
s - protein drink or bar
D - no idea.  Protein and veggies?

It will play with your head but I want to let you know that you aren't alone...I'm learning to embracing my 145 lbs not that it's a bad number AT ALL but I'd kill to see 135-139. But, you also workout a bit, too, so it's not all fat (and while some is muscle, running builds glycogen stores which will show up on the scale)...if I keep eating constant and start running more, I will see 5 lbs on the scale consistently.

Be happy.

I think I'm actually okay with the number... I think.  It's the... distribution... maybe?... that I am having so much issue with.  I just feel so THICK through the middle.  I gain at the waist and I feel like I look so FAT when I look at myself in the mirror again lately.

Oh who knows.

I think perhaps once I have a tummy tuck (thank you 401K) and that band of extra around the middle is gone I might be more comfortable with things.
