He sounds like he is and he does - BUT - 4GLTE is not available in all areas, and, according to the manufacturers, those phones will not automatically downgrade to 3G for those remote areas that don't even have 4G, while a standard 4G phone will.

So for us, we camp and boat and aren't always in large towns with good service, we may be choosing to go with an more flexible technology.

It's a conundrum!

Unfortunately, since my BB appears to be dead, I have to get a new phone now and I don't want to get one phone now and then a different one in a few months or even a year, so waiting on the iPhone 5 (which may or may not appear in October as anticipated, and was my original plan for eventually replacing my BB... until I broke it) isn't really an option. The Sprint guy said that only about half of the area here is 4G currently, and since I already have the iPad and an iPod Touch, the learning curve on the iPhone was smaller than on an Android phone.

really appreciate that info, though!  My brother, SIL, and mom (who share a family plan) will be changing carriers and getting new phones in October, so I will pass the info on to my brother.

I have Sprint. I have the Motorola Aprix (???). I love the screen size. I had a slide before and it does take a bit to get used to the touchscreen keyboard, but I do like it. I am on my phone a lot and just plug it in every night.

I have an iPhone and love it.  a benifit is that it does not get viruses.  Android phones can.  this is because like everything else with Apple they control what can be downloaded onto it.  I do not have problems with dropped calls, i really think that it depends on your service provider.

I have a Motorola Droid and love it.  Battery lasts a long time and no problem with dropped calls.  Service is through Verizon.  I would buy another droid in a minute.

Lora, my husband bought me an iphone 4S the week before surgery.  I cannot believe how crappy the battery life is.  I am not happy with it.  It has it's advantages, but you can get the advantages on the other phones. I just don't know how much you need.  You will now get 10 people saying they love their iphones, so it's just a personal choice, but I simply got tired of constantly charging it sometimes twice a day if I played any type of game. Hope this helps.   Jane

Thanks to all. I opted for the iPhone 4S because of ease of use (since I already have an iPad and an iPod Touch) and because of Siri . I also did not like that some of the Android phones were larger than I expected.

We ran into a problem with it not wanting to take my AppleID login (wasted 20 minutes on it at the store, but it was fine when I got it home and had it connected to my home wireless), and it is going to take some time to get sued to the small touch keyboard, but playing with Siri has been fun. Need to get all my ringtones back now and get my calendar re-populated.

Siri and I have a love/hate relationship! LOL! But I love my 4S! Don't know what I would do without it!

YAY!

I absolutely love my iPhone and iPad!  If you like pictures, there's a great app called Instagram!  You can take, post and view other pics.  If you do get it, my name is Moctedamus on there!
