OT: need feedback on smartphones (Update: got iPhone 4S)
My boyfriend and I are on Sprint. He just got a new iPhone (had a Blackberry before), I have an HTC EVO that is almost 2 years old (first version). He has no problem with dropped calls or battery life with the iPhone, although he decided he didn't want Siri and went with the iPhone4--no "S". I like the way my android phone works but despise the short battery life. I am seriously considering changing over to an iPhone. I think it just depends on what your preferences are. I think both the iPhone and HTC EVO are good choices. Don't know about the other phones you listed.
DD and DSIL have HTC Evos through Sprint - and have horrible battery issues. Not sure if that's endemic to the phone, or just that the pair of them always seem to be ON their phones!
We're due for upgrades in a couple months, and are researching the iPhone 4S (for me, if it is true that Siri will read texts and do adequate speech to text while I'm moving between work sites, that's a HUGE plus) and the Samsung Galaxy options rather than sticking with Blackberry, for similar reasons as you.

I opted for an iPhone. Yes, Siri does indeed do a pretty good job with voice to text (much more accurate than I expected) but I have not tried having her read one to me.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
check out the website cliphanger.com I bought a clip hanger from them 4 years ago and now everyone in my family has one. I love it, we love it!! I started out smartphone wise with a droid 1. Hated it. I went through 5 phones in one and half years. It kept breaking. I have verizon and went to their website and looked at the different phones and read the customer feedback on them. I picked HTC Thunderbolt. I love it. I have never ever had a problem with it.
I had a blackberry for 2 years i liked it no problems. my upgrade was up so I got the iphone 4s on sprint. i LOVE MY IPHONE. I have no issues of dropped calls I get as good service asthe BB. It is so much fun....LOVE IT!!!!

My boyfriends advice is to only consider the iPhone or HTC EVO 4GLTE, he said any 4G phone that isn't compatible with LTE is obsolete. The technology has changed and is going away from the current 4G wimax to the 4G LTE. The iPhone is only available in 3G currently and in the fall the new iPhone 5 is coming out and will have 4G LTE, but you will have to wait for that. So he says if you want an iPhone you need to wait 5 months otherwise you can buy a Droid phone but make sure it is 4G LTE. He's a huge technology geek and knows his stuff.
Good Luck.
