Whatcha eating/doing today? Manic Monday...

Well Monday comes in whether I want it to or not, this was one of those weeks that I really didn't want it to come!  My next two work weeks are crazy and my weekends are booked solid and I see no rest or play or even trying to find time for exercise is going to be tough.  I HATE exercising in the morning before work but it may be the only option....ugh.  I had a bad bad eating weekend, my folks were in town and my mom brought all kinds of starchy carb snacks and peanuts into the house.  I learned that I still have no self control with some things...ugh...back to measurements and controled eating this week now that I have all that stuff out of the darn house.

Today's eats
B:  Protein Shake
L - Turkey Breast lunch meat, jalepeno laced cheese, cucs and tomato on a ryvita cracker.
AS - Ryvita cracker and 2 laughing cow
S- Probably out tonight as it is dinner and movie night with the guy i'm dating.

Likely no evening snack, unless I have unbuttered popcorn at the movies.

That's it so far...anything could change

Manic Monday indeed. A big goal for me this week is going to be not stress eating. A project at work is killer and I'm only here until Thursday before being gone for two weeks! I've never been away from the office for that long before so I am anxious to get as much done in advance as possible. I don't want my colleagues to have a ton of slack to pick up. I also have errands to run like picking up my fiance's ring, my wedding dress, and getting our dog groomed. The flights for our honeymoon next week just changed and I haven't gotten a new confirmation number from United so I'm stressing about that too.

OH MY GOD I'M GETTING MARRIED ON SATURDAY!

Thank heavens it's just us, our parents, and my brother and sister-in-law. I have a whole new respect for people who plan big weddings! I can't imagine how overwhelmed I'd feel if I had to think about so many guests.

Food/exercise-wise, we're trying to not buy groceries since we're going out of town soon.

No breakfast today: Monday is a fasted work out day. So just black coffee for now. I did 30 min. on the elliptical at 7.7mph, leg lifts, tricep dips, and will weight lift tonight after I've had something to eat.

Lunch: 4 oz. turkey breast and 1 oz. whole wheat bread. Some raw green peppers and tomato on the side.

Dinner: I don't know yet. Maybe just tuna salad and avocado on the whole wheat bread I got at the farmer's market and more raw vegetables. Or ricotta waffles and scrambled eggs. Those sound good.

Snack: Cherries from the farmer's market. Possibly some almond-coconut milk and banana ice cream if I feel like making it.

I need to keep it light today as I went a little overboard yesterday.

Yes, it has! It's nice to come back to OH every so often and see how everyone is doing. This community was so supportive when I was first post-op and I'm glad to see it is still strong.

I'm doing pretty well. Getting married this weekend! Oddly enough, he was the first friend to check up on me when I came home from the hospital after my RNY. 5 months later we started dating and the rest is history. Hope you're well too!

Snack will be cottage cheese with a couple chunks of canteloupe
Dinner will be either porkchops and cabbage or leftover ribeye depends on how hungry the hubs is and if we take the boat out for an afternoon on the river.

i HAD A WHOLE GRAIN WAFFLE FOR BREAKFAST, TOPPED WITH PEANUT BUTTER AND A COUPLE FRESH SLICED STRAWBERRIES.

(damn capslock, sorry)

Lunch was at the mall. Daughter and I had Chick Fil-A, and I ordered the three piece strips. I ate one. That breading is a killer. No good at all. Ow. I had to order an iced tea to help everything go down, or I would have spent my day in some mucho pain. It didn't feel stuck, exactly, it just felt...I don't know, like it was struggling. And I chewed it really well. Won't be doing that again. But after a few sips of tea, it went away and I feel fine. Just a bit hungry.

So lunch when I got home was a big bowl of sirloin and veggie soup.

Dinner will be the rest of this huge salad I got. I ate half of it yesterday and saved the rest for tonight.

I love Chick-Fil-A - mainly for their diet lemonade.  IF I eat there I get a 4 piece grilled nuggets and a small fruit cup.  Some days I can eat it all, most of the time I'll have a little left over.

I wish I had your stomach.

I CAN eat an entire Chargrilled Salad (which, to be fair, is like 250 calories without dressing) or a half a spicy cool wrap (and the other half too if I ditch the wrapper). And that doesn't leave me feeling overfull...just comfortably satisfied.

I never get the fried stuff though. Me + grease = unhappy.

Their fried stuff is greasy.  I've noticed that, it's much worse than most places.

I got one of the salads once.  I ate about 2/3 the chicken, and that was it.  But you got a few more years of practice on me.  :)
