I think the issue is that CQ has baking powder in it. I just checked a few recipe sites and it looks like many traditional pizza crusts don't use a levening agent at all so I think that might be the issue.

Yes, I'd pre-cook it if I were you and see if that helps.

Have you ever seen the Red Lobster biscuit recipe on the box? I tried it. It was scary good.

Ohhh that would be very very dangerous!  But now I will have to try making a couple of bisquits just to see how they taste!  It's relatively low carb for a 'bread' so perhaps I can give myself a break.  I make my pizzas with just enough mix for 2 bisquits (2 servings of pizza) so I could do the same so I don't have so many sitting around tempting me :)

I made 8 inch pizzas this week with mission wheat tortillias. They hit the craving right on the head. Will make those again.

It's my Friday!  Feeling pretty good today.

Food:

Wake-up-FF latte from home
B-last quarter of my fritatta and a few pieces of beef jerkey
L-lunch meat roll ups, bag of Kay's Protein Jalapeno Honey Mustard Pretzels
S-I have a yogurt and apple...see what appeals when I get there
D-In the mood for a salad.  So salad with grilled chicken.  Low fat Italian.
S-watermelon

I don't know who brewed the coffee this morning here in the office but...bleech.  Early switch to water.  But looking back at my high sodium choices for the day (oh my) that's for the best I am sure.

I had a protein shake when I woke up about 4:00 this morning.  I had trouble going back to sleep and felt like my blood sugar might be kind of low.

I ate a protein bar about 8:00.

I am getting ready to put some chickpeas in the oven to roast, as soon as it gets done preheating.  My oven takes a ridiculously long time to preheat.  It is annoying.

I have some fresh tomatoes I need to eat before they go bad, so I might have that for a snack later.  I like fresh tomatoes just diced up with some salt on them.

I think I will have sliced bell peppers with hummus for dinner.  I have to go to the store to get some produce.

And I will probably have some fruit for a snack later.  I've been loving fresh strawberries lately.

I LOOOOOOOOVE fresh tomato. Do you ever eat it with basil and mozzarella? It took me a while to catch on to the taste of fresh basil. I still don't like it in water as so many others do.

I haven't eating it with fresh basil and mozzarella but it sounds like it would be yummy.

I grow both tomatoes and basil in my backyard.  Often I'll pick a handful of cherry tomatoes and then walk over to the basil plant and stand there and eat the tomatoes wrapped in a fresh basil leaf.  For every two tomatoes that make it in the house, one has already made it into my tummy.

I have some slicing tomatoes too... Mortgage Lifter and Beefsteak.  I just like these sliced and sprinkled with salt and pepper.  Yum!

Call me crazy, but I love a nice, thick slice (while the tomato is still firm) with a small smear of mayo and salt and pepper.

Mmmmmmm!

Me and my mayo aversion are calling you crazy.  But I like a drip drop of yogurt ranch sometimes too.  Bolthouse makes a yummy one.
