It's 11:51 p.m. Do you know where your potato chips are?

Chips are my #1 post-op fantasy. I want so much to curl up with my Nook and a bag of Utz sour cream and onion potato chips and about 4 Diet Dr Peppers. It's my only craving. I haven't given in and since no one else in the house likes that flavor I don't have to worry about temptation. But yeah, it's a frequent dream of mine. I know I wouldn't be able to control myself with them so they will stay far away from me!

Nik you suck . I read this thread and now my mouth is watering for chips.

I hope my protein shake coffee kill the craving.

Nope.

There are no potato chips of any kind in the house...not even sweet potato chips...

I don't miss 'em one bit...

Unfortunate that you are struggling, though...

I wouldn't say I am struggling. It was a craving. It passed. It happens from time to time and sometimes I have what I crave and sometimes (like last night) I don't.

But it was fun thinking about those chips...

Since I gave up Splenda (for the most part) my cravings have all but disappeared. Weird.

Interestingly enough I don't get chip cravings often. It seems to coincide with me not cooking at home much. Most of the salty/spicy/savory cravings seem to have to do with me not eating homecooked food.

Do you make cheese crisps? That's a good way to satisfy the craving. However, your protein shake was a better choice.

Edited to add:

Chips are my weakness. Can't have them anywhere around, because I WILL eat them.

Yes...but not at 11:51 p.m. and not after I drank a protein shake to thwart the craving!

(Eventually I fell asleep)

Salty... crunchy... mmmm.  Perhaps a few dry roasted peanuts?

I don't buy the chips either.  Otherwise they would be in my mouth.
