What are you eating/doing today? Friday!

Sorry if I'm double posting but I didn't see the thread.

I'm working from home this morning so they can come and install my DirecTV. Just eating breakfast and it seems I'm having a little pouch day (go figure). So my breakfast is sitting next to me, half eaten. Now make no mistake - eventually it WILL get eaten (I simply don't skip or skimp meals) but breakfast may also be lunch.

Anyhoo...

1. Steak 'n Eggs WLS style (this may be it rather than a little pouch day. Me and steak are iffy)
2. Actually by the time "lunch" rolls around I should be ready for my Click Frapp
3. Taco casserole when I get home.
4. Either Greek yogurt & Fiber One OR another protein shake OR an NSA fudgesicle. I'll report back.

another day of no planning, so I have no idea
Worked out with the trainer today - did fine on the strength part (upper body) but wore out on the run. She asked for 12min - 10 at 5.0 and 2 at 5.5. I did it, and I did right at a mile, but I had to pause 3 times for water / catch my breath. Frustrating. BUT - despite it being a less than desirable workout, I was still doing more than somebody on the couch.
Right?
Counseling appointment, lunch. This evening I have the funeral of my team member that passed away, then I have to work 2hrs overtime.

B - chocolate protein / water
L - shrimp po boy sounds good
S - cottage cheese and sf jello w/ fruit
D - ???
S - quest

Question: did you do that run before or after you had that shake.

If it was before, you had no nutrition in you! No wonder.

If it was after, protein is really hard to process pre-run and usually your body's efforts to break down heavy protein detract from the energy you'd normally have to exert yourself. You should probablyy go with something that has some easy to break down carbs in there. I seem to always thrive in running if I eat half a banana about 45 minutes before running. Your mileage may vary.

Good point. I had the protein before I went to the gym and I made it with water, not milk. I used to put half a banana in my pre-workout shakes, but I don't think my body and bananas get along so well anymore.
You think 1/2 a piece of P28 toast with cheese or Peanut butter would work?
