Protein advice:

You can consume 100 grams of protein a day but that does not mean that your body is getting the benefit of all of it.

The way it was explained to me by someone when I asked about drinking protein shakes:

Your body can only "use" about 30 grams of protein in a 2 hour period. So, if I drink more than that, then you will just have REALLY expensive pee. Because that is what the body will do with it. It will consume all it is able (25-30 grams, you will have to look this up because I am not sure of the exact number) and then you will pee all of the rest of it out when you go to the bathroom. Same goes with vitamins. What your body does not use in time, it excretes. And, it can only use up to a certain amount at a time.

So, if you are eating too high of a concentraion of protein all at once, you are probably not getting the benifit of all of the grams that you are tracking.

Unless your protein shake has a low amount of protein in it, I would drink it 2 hours or so after you have your eggs and your sausage.

Thanks for all the ideas !!!   Sounds like a plan.....iupping the protein, lowering the carbs 1000-1200 to loose...thanks !!
