3 YEARS OUT... trying to loose more weight ..no luck
I am with you sister.. Coming up on 3 years and about 50 pounds from where I thought I would end up. I do work out pretty regularly.. but honestly I am still a CARB MONSTER... and I get NO WHERE near 60 grams of protein on a given day.
Back to basics with me - basically Adkins... It is very hard to figure out what my body wants.
To work out safely, you have to have enough calories to support your workouts - my trainer said no less than 1700 calories a day. I can eat that if I eat crap... or have high calorie protein shakes.
Time to UP UP UP the protein and LOWER LOWER LOWER my carbs and see what happens. Let me know if you would like to be support partners.

I often wondered where the real me has been? I then decided where the real me is going!!!
For most of us, our metabolism is not like normal folks. 1500 sounds high to me, too. Most people here seem to eat 1200-1600 to maintain their weight. I think you should try 1200 for a few weeks and see if that does anything.
I'm 3.75 years out and have gone from 340 to 135. I eat 1700-2000 to maintain.

Actually, 1500 calories consumed doesn't sound like too little to me. It sounds just fine for someone who works out 5 times a week.
What are your workouts? Perhaps you need to mix them up. If you walk, run. If you run, bike. Change things up. Maybe amp them up to 45 minutes or an hour. Do you strength train?
I average between 1600-1800 calories a day to maintain. To lose I drop it down to about 1400-1500 and limit my carbs. I work out on average 6 hours a week, or about an hour a day 5-6 days a week. I run and I do yoga.
In the long run, it all comes down to burning more than you are eating, and if your eating is fine then you need to up your burn.
I would also increase your protein. I keep mine around 120-150 a day, but that's my personal needs.

Sucking down a NASTY coffee protein shake as we speak... gag. I hate these things now.. BUT... If I can add fruit/peanut butter to them I can stomach them - sometimes.
Right now my pouch is grumbling at me wanting to urp this back up :(
For me Calories in - Exercise does not = weight loss. I have to go drastic to 500-800 calories to lose.. I can't maintain that with physical hunger AND I get dizzy when I exert myself at all.
That being said - I have NOT done a good job of getting in enough protein. My goal is to focus on that for the next few weeks, not counting calories and keeping my carbs down as much as possible.
Here's to getting back on track again!

That's how I ALWAYS felt about protein. Until I started drinking the Mint Cookie kind. Today I left mine at home on the counter and when 3pm rolled around and I went to mix it and saw I didn't have it I was actually disappointed. I think it just comes down to finding one that you really like. I went through a TON of it over the past 2 years, just sucking it down because I had to.
I am 3.5 years post RNY and I have about 10-12 pounds I want to get back off. I myself can't figure out what my body wants. I eat decently healthy and I am pretty active, aside from being active I jog/walk atleast 45 min to an hour 3-5 times a week. I always say this is going to be a life long struggle for me but I'm willing to fight for what I want.
I think I am going to cut back to 800 calories for a few days and maybe after 5 days or so If I can't get the scale moving I'll start upping my calories by 100 until I find what my body needs to start losing again.
