3 YEARS OUT... trying to loose more weight ..no luck
I had my surgery back in 2009 in Mexico. I lost about 75 lbs with the RNY which to me wasnt a whole lot compared to others. I have been steady at the weight of 232 lbs..( started at 305) FOR 3 YEARS I started the Atkins low carb diet because I am still considered oibese. I want to loose 60 more .. I work out 5 times a week for 30 minutes and stay at 1500 cals.20-25 grams of carbs daily to meet Atkins induction criteria ..and do about 60grms of protein daily..no sugar...the scale still wont MOVE!!!!!!!!
I need some of the veterans advise...its great when you are a newbie and the weight loss is steady...but what happens when you are past the 18 month threshhold for weight loss and want to loose more??? I need suggestions , if there is something I am not doing ..let me klmnow because I went back to basics with the protein powder and everything..... talk to me OH vets!!!

I often wondered where the real me has been? I then decided where the real me is going!!!
I've lost about 30 lbs over the past 7 months by doing basically what you're doing. So it's definitely possible to lose past the "honeymoon period". The only thing I've done differently is to shoot for over 100 grams of protein per day. You may want to try upping the protein. Are you drinking plenty of water? Are the 20-25 grams of carbs net carbs or total carbs? I know how frustrating this must be for you!
I just don't see how that will end up to be only 60 gr of proteins (looks more than that) and 1500 calories. one egg is typically 7 gr of proteins, so 2 = 14+ 10 (sausage?) = 24 + shake = ???
Just in breakfast looks like you are getting 20-40 gr of proteins... same with lunch... Unless you are getting really low protein shake, looks like you getting more than 60 gr of proteins a day... (and that is good)

You may want to try sparkpeople.com or myfitnesspal.com.
These sites can help you figure out how many calories you should be eating to lose and they can give you a ratio of Calories/Protein/Fat you are eating and any other nutritional value you wish to track.
Good luck to you.
Keep in mind after the 18 months it's not like you can't lose weight ever again. People in all walks of life without surgery can lose weight. You can do it!

I am not familiar with those sites. Can they give you a printout of exactly what you are eating and where your nutrition is coming from?:
When I was struggling to lose more this record keeping really helped me.
To be accountable I copied and pasted this on a "What are you doing /eating today thread"
