Repost: Cinderella Syndrome
Ok, I cannot possibly be the ONLY person here who is not particularly worried about regain. Can I?!?
I realize that, since I am almost 5 years out, I have some additional "evidence" that I am not going to suddenly start gaining it all back, but I was not particularly worried about it when I was only a year or two out.
My surgeon emphasized from the info session onward that this was not a "cure", and that the surgery would GET the weight off but that I would have to KEEP it off. So perhaps knowing from the very beginning that I was in control of regaining or not made me less fearful. I was far more fearful of not losing enough weight than of gaining it all back.

You don't drown by falling in the water. You drown by staying there.
Lora's not the only one worried about regain! so my new mantra is gonna be "I'm not Cinderella, I'm a princess!""
BTW, if therapists really were worth their weight in gold, I'd be worth $2433150!
