Poll: Do you have a "WFT"?
I love that term. And love you for introducing me to it!
Yes, I love that stuff too!
And of course there is bowl lickins. When I make SF cheesecake USUALLY I give my batter bowl to the kids. Usually.

RNY Gastric Bypass 1-8-08 350/327/200 (HW/SW/CW). I spend most of my time playing with my food over at Bariatric Foodie - check me out!
Before surgery I LOVED ketchup... on hotdogs, meatloaf, fish, in my baked beans, made my ham BBQ with it, french fries, home fries, hash browns and even mashed potatoes... the last few times I tried it I didn't liek it at all.
Mayonaise - loved it preop and couldn't stand Miracle Whip. Now I like the MW better but not a big fan of either really. Would rather eat a pickle in my lettuce, meat and cheese sandwich (can't eat bread cuz it doesn't go down).
Someone else mentioned liking bread with real butter and sugar spinkled... MMmmm - me too! I also loved slathering real butter on bread and frying it in the skillet till it was all brown and bubbly... then sprinkling sugar on it. Wait - who am I kidding... I SPOONED it on... ROFL!
Loved scrambled eggs before surgery - can't eat them now.
Since surgery I CRAVE salads. I have to have them often... I like those really busy ones with like 10 different veggies, meat and cheese. I guess this is a good thing really!
Since surgery I also developed this coffee craving. I enjoyed a cup every now and then but now I NEED my cup every day!
I wonder if we like our food cold now because we got used to eating it that way? I know my meal is always cold before I fini**** since surgery. I recently got this cool hotplate thingy off Ebay that has a marble tile in the center. You microwave it for 2 minutes and it is supposed to keep your food hot for an hour.
I have not lost my desire for sweets but I am MUCH pickier now... life is too short and da pouch is too small to each cheap desserts! LOL... I have to really be careful though because sugar, especially right after a meal, makes me nauseous.
Nik - great question!

I don't know enough about my post-op food tastes, but so far, my major pre-op food tastes have carried over.
I don't like cold food--especially meat. I want it all warm, if not hot.
I prefer simple flavors: vanilla with nothing; chocolate with nothing; plain salted potato chips.
I don't like most pre-packaged sweets. I taste the chemicals in them. Grocery store sweets use the wrong kind of fat and sugar (as far as I'm concerned).
I don't like soup.
I will eat no butter substitutes.
I don't like dill (unless it's a kosher pickle once in a great while).
Honestly, I don't know how I got so picky. It's not like I didn't grow up eating Campbell's soup and Hostess cupcakes. Our house had LandOLakes Margerine (which my grandfather actually used to make back in the day).
