Poll: Do you have a "WFT"?
I have always loved most of my food (except for steak) to be a little on the overdone side. Ok a lot on the overdone side. I also eat the blackened bits off of the foil or out of the skillet. Totally delicious.
I suppose "strange to general society" would be my things like "spa-chili' which is just spaghetti sauce with cannellini beans and no pasta.
Cold beverages and hot beverages are both uncomfortable for me now. So I drink tea and water room temp because I find the cold to be painful. But I like the "discomfort" from hot beverages so I like coffee extra hot now and will lose interest as soon as it starts getting close to room temp.
Total polar opposite of before is my love for apples. (However, never again will I have applesauce because of the aversion I developed during the pill crushing phase)
And my love of peanut butter. Never cared for PB pre-op. Didn't hate it, just didn't eat it. Now I have to regulate my intake. And found that somehow, Better 'N Peanut Butter actually is better than PB. It's like dessert! Thankfully I can rarely afford this product or it's banana or chocolate brothers.
I'm rather boring.

I love my food burnt!!!!! Especially if it involves cheese.
I over cook everything that I eat so that it leaves crunchies in the pan - nothing better than my egg and cheese crunchies in the morning YUM
Oh and my steak has to have a burnt crust to it or I won't eat it, my fiance says I might as well eat shoe leather LOL

I like my food spicier now.
I don't want to look at too much food on my plate. Eating out sometimes annoys me for that reason.
Since the transplant I eat bananas with peanut butter. My Mg++ and K+ are low for the first time in my life. I crave these. If I didn't eat them I would have to take Mg and K pills. I panic if we get low in bananas!

I often eat my meals cold. In fact, cold day-old spaghetti is one of my favorite things ever. Always has been, since I was a kid. People often think that's weird. o.O
I don't like things that are vaguely sweet. Cucumbers. Bell peppers. Sweet n Sour sauce. Bread and butter pickles. Miracle whip. Hunts ketchup. Raspberry vinaigrette.
I like my food to be either sweet or not sweet. Or an equal mix of sweet and savory (like peanuts and chocolate, or grapes and cheese). But to have that subtle, barely-there hint of sweet? Ug, it makes me gag.
I also don't like single-flavor, thick, creamy sweets. Peanut butter, caramel, fudge, marshmallows, etc. They lay really heavy on my tongue and make my mouth feel sticky and cloying. I don't mind those flavors layered in with other, lighter flavors, but I can't just sit and eat a piece of peanut butter fudge.
Since surgery, I've noticed a strong craving for avocado sushi. I've always loved avocados, but wasn't a huge fan of sushi. But now, I really crave it from time to time. .Also, in strange contradiction to my "vaguely sweet" aversion, I drink my iced tea with very little sweetener now. I almost prefer it plain, which is new.
