Y'know there was a time the tartar sauce thing would have seemed gross, but I used to rib a friend for dipping fries in mayo (not Miracle Whip****il I tried it. I don't eat that anymore, obviously, but YUM!

A coworker always ate mayo with ketchup with her fries.  No biggie - this is just basically Whopper sauce, right?

She also ate white bread, miracle whip, and sugar sandwiches.  Uh, yuck.

pre-op I would slather (real) butter on white bread, dump some white sugar on it, shake of the excess and chow down

Yep... I know why I weighed almost 400lbs

Toast that bread and add some cinnamon to it all and you have one of my favorite breakfast "foods" growing up.

I'm a few days over two months post-op.

I used to like lots of Miracle Whip on my sandwiches.  I found out the other day, when I put it on a ham sandwich, that I no longer like it with Miracle Whip.  I  prefer sandwiches plain with no condiments.  I haven't tried cheeseburgers or anything like that, but I think I will also prefer them plain.  I can't seem to eat meat yet.  Actually, the ham sandwich didn't even stay down.  I mostly pulled the bread off and ate the ham since I didn't like the Miracle Whip.

Also, post-op, I could care less if I have pizza or gyros and those were two of my favorites.  I think I'm going to have a lot of changes in food likes and don't likes. I still like bread and potato so I will have to work to keep that at a minimum.  I still hate rice, except an exceptionally good  flavored fried rice.

Oh your tastes will change a few more times before you settle in. (Who knows though, maybe at four years out I'm in a stage and my tastes, too, might change!)

Good observations!

Some of my WFTs are family traditions...my moms family eats raw onion with everything!  They've passed the "tradition" on to me and some of my cousins too.  Best on corn bread (someone else said that too, so I feel better) and on pasta, obviously pre-op.
Also, I love cold food! I always have. My husband think its gross,  it when he re-heats meat the smell is enough to make me leave the kitchen.
Pre-op I hated breakfast food, but now I like eggs and bacon,  but I hate sausage in all forms.
I also hate almond flavored things, but I like almonds.
Oh and ham...hated it pre-op, now I'm a fan. Weird.

I'm with you on almond flavoring. Somehow the smell reads as cherry to me (???)
