I ate a small piece of buttered banana bread last week. I wanted to eat a LOT of it. And then that damn bb bread called my name every time I was in the kitchen. I ended up throwing it out. It made me feel heavy and starchy, but the butter was delicious! I liked it more than the actual bread.

I make banana bread with a combination of whole wheat and white flour.  I also use splenda instead of sugar and greek yogurt instead of buttermilk and oil.  :)  Yummers.  I toast it and spray it with that not butter spray.

I'll have to give that a try. I thought I was making it for the family's consumption, so it was full of sugar. D'oh!

;)

If my family wants full sugar, they make it themselves.  If I make it, it's made my way.

Same goes for anything I bring to someone else's house.  :D

RNY on 04/25/12

I had my RNY done on 4/25/12 so I am about 5-6 weeks post-op.

I am green with envy and pretty jealous of all of the people that have had their surgery around the same time as myself...everyone seems to be just sailing through their recovery!

Whew! That felt really good to just put that out there!
Don't get me wrong, I am definitely happy for everyone else that is having a better recovery than myself and I would NEVER wish for anything but the best for all of you! But, and there is always a but(t) lol, I can't help but wonder if some people are stretching the truth...I read on here that a person was doing Zumba 2 weeks post-op and eating solids! Then there was another person that posted that they had went to a Memorial Day BBQ and they had steak! (they said that they were only 6 weeks post-op).

I guess the reason that I am jealous and feel this way is because I have tried several different foods, and they are not sitting well in my new pouch. I have been having my daily pity party with myself as I read everyone else's accomplishments.

Thanks for letting me vent and get that off of my chest...I am now going to try and get this damned protein drink in.
