I hate being sick when it's hot

Well, I hate being sick any time, but especially when it's hot.

My stomach has been icky for the last few days, and I've been exhausted, but just assumed that was from not sleeping well.  But today I am achy and have a fever.  Not a real high fever, but a fever.

I hate having a fever when it's hot.  There's just no way to get comfortable.  Especially when a cat, that normally ignores me most of the time except when he wants me to feed him, decides today is the day to lay on me and snuggle as much as possible.  Cats are furry and hot.  Which does not help when I am already hot and have a fever.

Sorry to hear that you are not feeling well.  Sometimes I find it helpful to put an icepack (which can just be a ziploc bag with ice in it) wrapped in a dishtowel on the back of my neck or to take a somewhat cool bath (just not too cool or you will end up with chills!).

Hope you feel better quickly.

I have a cold wet washcloth on the back of my  neck right now.  And I've been periodically wiping myself down with it, too.

any bug bites? I have to ask as Ticks are very bad right now....Some of the symptoms you describe COULD be Lyme... I got it 5 years ago and still battleit. 50% of peoplenever get a rash or see a bite.I am one.. weird to have flu like symptoms this time of year

No bites as far as I know.  And I haven't been outdoors much lately.

I don't really have flu symptoms.  No cough, no runny nose, no sneezing, no sore throat.  This is more like a stomach virus.

I hate fevers.  Having a low grade fever can make you feel crappy.  Are you prone to stomach bugs?Cats know when you don't feel well. My 3 knew when I came home from the hospital and one wanted to wobbie my stomach and no way could I handle it of course.  He just didn't understand. Hope you get feeling better, Kelly.

I hope you feel better soon!  My mom and my aunt both recently had a flu like virus but it was fever/aches and cold symptoms.  Take care of yourself!
