YAY for the new place!!

I am off to an awesome start today - hope it keeps up.
My alarm was set for 9 but I woke up at 6. Started to go back to bed but decided it may be a "little" cooler than later in the morning - so I dressed and headed out for Day 2 of my Sprint Tri training - 15 min run (walk 5min, then stretch, then 1min jog, 1 min walk 2x, then 1 min run, 1min wal****il 15min - I did a mile). It was cooler, but the humidity was suffocating!
Then I changed clothes and swam a little over 200yds. I've already tended my animals so just gonna help my mom and then head back to bed, I have to work tonight.

B - pre exercise - protein made w/ water
- post - 1/4c cottage chz with strawberry
L - ribs w/ just a smear of sauce, lots of veggies
D - shrimp, peppers, veggies, laughing cow
S - quest
- turkey pepperoni w/ LC cheese

Very grateful for those who serve and have served in our nation's military. I have a lot of family who have done time in Iraq and Afghanistan and I am so thankful to have them home. God bless those who lost loved ones for my freedom.

Buns I can live without...it's the potato salad that gets to me.

Whatever we all do today to remember those who served and fell, let's hoist a few (nonalcoholic) in their honor. Get those fluids in.

To me, today is a regular day. My family had our celebration yesterday.

Today's a normal food day--probably a shake for breakfast, some kind of salad with tuna for lunch, and then I'll be making chicken casserole for dinner.

Yesterday, however, was our Memorial Day pool party.
Over the course of the afternoon, I had a couple potato chips (literally, like 5) with salsa, a scoop of tuna salad, a scoop of egg salad, a few slices of avocado, tomato, and black olives. Had fresh fruit salad, and a couple bites of a Hawaiian roll. Iced tea.  Then I topped it off with a small bowl of NSA banana pudding, which made me dump. Fantastic.

But it was a good day, and I feel like I kept my food intake pretty light. Need more water, though. Feeling a bit dehydrated.

I had my normal chocolate,/click espresso/pb2 protein shake, I am addicted to those!, Not sure what I will eat for lunch, maybe just a yogurt, but for dinner will have a cheeseburger (minus the bun), with macaroni salad made with whole wheat plus macaroni, that has 10 grams of protein in a 2 oz. serving, then have melon to go with that.

Not typical for me, but I'm counting every calorie that goes in my mouth. I've been packing the pounds on in the last 2 weeks for no apparent reason. Bad enough that I'm even considering *gasp* EXERCISE! I plan to start swimming laps on Fridays and Saturdays for the next five weeks, an hour a day, then after five weeks, I plan to do laps five or six days a wee****il the first week of August.... at which point I plan on going back to work and returning to life as usual.

For today I plan to be a total slug. Hubs and I were goign to go swim laps but a bout of food poisoning on his part nixed that, and I chose not to go on my own (we ate the same food, but he had it in larger quantities and so I feel a little off, whereas he's been losing it on all ends).

So far today I had a small piece of quiche and some grapefruit.

Later today I plan to make four more square quiches (the circular foil pans weren't available, so I decided to try square).... with vegetarian sausage, spinach, artichoke hearts, ham, onions, and cheese... not all ingredients available in all quiches. I'll freeze three of them and have a slice of the fourth later in the day. Also on my food agenda today are no more than three protein shakes (I'm even cutting back on those calories) I'll also have some marinated artiichoke hearts and snow peas for dinner (less  than 100 calories)  also half-serving of peanut M&M's as my pillow snack. Hoping to keep my calories today below 1000. I'm back to work starting tomorrow (which s why I don't have plans to exercise more right away) but during the 5 weeks of vacation after summer school I'm planning to step it up on the exercise so I don't balloon out into an enormous human being again.

I also was on Lyrica for the last ten days and I noticed two things.... my headache pain -- which was why I took it -- was diminished, but my back pain was through the roof and I gained weight (size really, I haven't weighed but my clothing got tighter day after day)...  so I discontinued the Lyrica and the headache pain went up, the back pain went down, and I feel like the empty hole in my stomach is mended (not that I ate THAT much, but I did eat more while on it)

What recipe do you use?  Sounds yummy - I kinda made one the other day, but since I didn't have a new post WLS recipe I just tweaked my pre-WLS recipe and it turned out too dry.  Used to be I would use heavy cream and lots of yummy cheese...

Accountability, ummm... decaf coffee, ff nd creamer and splenda.  Oh, and six cherries.  It's noon.

It's technically not a weekend, but it's "weekend-ish" because it's a day off work.

I'll have a protein shake here in just a little bit to make up for my lack of desire to eat.  I'll probably have a protein bar at some point as well.

I have some yummy looking steaks in the fridge and we'll grab some propane for the grill and that will be dinner tonight.  Along with some (garden) squash and some corn for the family (I admit, I'll most likely take half an ear for myself - yum!).

And I can almost guarantee that at some point I'll also break into the freezer for a nsa italian ice or fudgesicle.
