Surgery went well!!

Wow it still doesn't seem like this is real! I has my surgery on Monday. Monday was a bit nutty because my surgeon was behind with the first patient but everything went well a d I had no complications. My only issue was extreme nausea after I woke up in the recovery room and then once that was under control and I was brought to my room my pain was a bit out of control. Luckily once that was settled things have been fine. I do notice that when I get up and walk around I will get a tad dizzy and that will make me a bit nauseated but otherwise things are good.

I was released at about 1 pm yesterday and came home to my parents house. I've had no major problems drinking liquids I also notice when I'm full and can wait a bit for it to go down. I tried a popcicle last night wow was it sweet sodidn't eat much of it. I'm up right now cause I set my alarm for my Meds. Overall painful but surviving and so far do good! Hope all my other May 21st buddies are doing well!!

Congrats! Yes sugar free tastes extremely sweet after surgery. For a while I had no idea how I was going to make it with the chewable vitamins because they were much too sweet. Tomato soup was too sweet (go figure). Now things still tastes a bit sweet, but it's not overbearing. Best Wishes!

Welcome to the bench. I prefered to suck on ice chips instead of popsicles. Good luck with your ongoing recovery.

Yeah the hardest thing is it hurts a bit more by the incision were the drain was and I hate sleeping in my back haha but otherwise things are getting better. Drinking some protein shakes right now.
