A pint of Haagen Dazs lasts me 2 weeks, give or take a couple of days sometimes.

I am doing ok.  My boss let me work from home most of Tuesday and all day yesterday, so it helped that I was free to be weepy occasionally throughout the day without worrying about being seen. The house is just so very quiet and lonely without him.  Thanks for asking.

I also had a shot of bourbon as a chaser after the first cup of ice cream....

Lora...that was 100 DOZEN cookies. So that would be 1,200 cookies. :)

But I'm sorta like Charlie in that sweets aren't my trigger. Matter of fact I physically cannot eat a whole bunch of sweet stuff (sugar included or non). It just makes me lose my appetite. I had a few, here and there. But nothing crazy.

I can, however, eat a whole slice of pizza with crust. I can eat two slices, actually. Which is usually what I do on the rare occasion we order pizza. I pick the two smallest slices and those are mine. I eat them and I'm done. Versus pre-op when I would have gotten an extra-large pizza (we get a medium now) and eat four slices plus wings plus fries. And a Pepsi. Don't forget the Pepsi!!!

Let's see.  Everything I do is outside of convention.  I have treats all day.  Sugar free and gluten free but I have things like sf pudding (with protein) or sf gluten free cookies (again with protein).  I tell myself that as long as I throw protein powder in something it isn't junk.  I will eat gluten free buns at times when I go out.  I have been going out to eat since my first week post op.  I have a lot of junk in my house.  My daughter is a food addict and I have no control over what she eats.  She is almost 17 and gets what she wants.  The more I try to help her eat better, the worse she wants to eat.  So I have learned to desensitize myself to cookies and stuff like that.  I've decided I won't eat them so I don't have any internal arguments with myself about how I'm just going to have one, no make that two, etc.
I also have sf hard candy most days, and a sf fudgecicle most days, too.  I probably eat as many treats as ever, just smaller amounts.  And after I get in my protein, which as often as not is in the form of a shake or coffee drink.
