Condiment question

I was looking on my "food lists" provided to me by my Weight Control Center and I don't see ketchup listed on there as a do or a don't.  Can someone tell me if us RNYers can do ketchup?

Also, I love bbq sauce.  I'm nowhere near ready to do bbq, but I was thinking about when I can.  I know regular store bought bbq sauce is loaded with sugar.  Does anyone have a good recipe?  I checked Nik's site, but didn't see anything for bbq.

Thanks!

i'm still new to all of this myself so no authority, but I eat ketchup fairly frequently - I use the Heinz reduced sugar variety, it only has one gram of sugar per serving.  Can't help with the bbq sauce, I haven't been willing to go through that many ingredients to make my own.  most all of the low carb cookbooks and sites have recipes for bbq sauce though.

be careful with ketchup, i experienced dumping with it, and it wasnt even a lot. If i used it i use the "no sugard added" heinz, but we are all different, so you may not experience what i do/did.

i use regular heinz ketchup and am a dumper. it's always with something protein filled (eggs, chicken, steak, etc) so i'm thinking that likely balances it out

I haven't had a problem with either regular ketchup or regular bbq sauce, but probably because I usually eat it with a protein.

However sadly, Pouchy no longer can handle mustard.  I've tried it several times over the past few months and same sad result every time -- pain and nausea.  I used to love the stuff :(
