Never thought I'd see progress this quickly!
I am 11 days out and weighed myself today. I'm so floored. I'm down 19 pounds since surgery. I never in a million years thought it would happen so quickly. It still doesn't seem real. Almost like it can't be possible for me. I think when you've failed so many times before, you automatically assume this won't work either.
I'm following my plan and I've started walking 1.1 miles per day. I just never thought this could be me.....

Yeah that first drop is insane. That fear of failing again may yet resurface when it slows or stalls but just remember if you follow the rules you will see the scale move again (in the case of a stall.)
I get that panic feeling every time I go a week or more with no loss and reassuring myself helps lol.

Thank you! Right now I'm on 40/40. 40oz of liquids and 40gm of protein. I am trying each day to creep them up to 64oz liquids and 68gm protein. I'm currently on pureed foods, so I've done tons of refried beans with cheese. I've also been pureeing Wendy's small chili (15gm protein), cottage cheese, and today I'm going to try Kroger's Bean with Bacon soup pureed. (my nut approved this soup)
I started walking 1 block, then 2 blocks and the past 2 days I'm up to 1.1 miles. Gotta love www.mapmyrun.com ! It helps me know how far I'm walking. =)

Good for you, keep it up. We had surgery on the same day, but I do not konw how much I have lost as I have not been on the scale yet, Will do that Monday. All I do know is that my wife can put her arms around me now when we hug. I can see the smile in her eyes and that makes me a very happy man. You are doing great.

Hi Larry. I was just reading your post and saw that you are in WA...me too! I live in the Renton area. Just had my initial counseling/meeting with Dr. McMahon at Swedish Hospital last week Thursday. Everything's looking good. Got an endoscopy on June 7 & a couple of blood tests, then it's just a matter of waiting for insurance approval. Doctor said he doesn't see any problems with approval.
Good luck on your journey.

Wow.. congrats! I am just 6 days out and finding it hard to walk more than around the block. I am getting in lots of protein (60+ grams) and water, just feel tired and weak after 1 block! Today I made it around my block so I am counting that as 3 blocks (I live in the city and so it's two longish blocks and then the short block that connects them). Hoping to increase that to twice/day tomorrow.
congrats on your first big loss!
