I had surgery 04/18/2012 and to date I have lost 40 lbs, six days post op I got a terrible cold and that knocked me on my butt, but two weeks later the cold was finally gone but I still felt absolutely horrible, friends and family noticed I was pale and I had no energy what so ever.  Finally one morning I woke up and I can't tell you the last time I felt that good, full of energy and a smile on my face.  Yesterday I tried on clothes I haven't been able to wear in years and they were a little baggy and my husband and I went out and I was able to hold my head up high instead of looking to the ground due to embarassment of my size.  I have a long way to go but I so love this feeling.

The preparation physically and mentally for the surgery is so hard.  I was unlucky getting a cold right after surgery, but once things fall into place with you and your body the feeling is so hard to explain but it is so worth it.  Keep us updated.

That is such a great post Angel.  Hold onto your britches....your closthes will be falling off left and right.  Oh what a great feeling!  Like one veteran told me when I first began buying new clothes..."don't get too attached, you will not be in them long!"
