Feel like a nut
I have had a crazy thyroid for years and my body temp generaly runs a degree or two low. On March 26th of this year I had a revision surgery from VBG to RNY because after my parents death I gave up and put all my weight back on.
On April 23rd I had emergency fistula surgery becuase what was left of my old stomach was trying it's very best to reabsorb my RNY pouch.
I have lost about 69 lbs so far, but I was huge to start with. To me I can see it in my face and I see other changes, but over all I think the changes are mostly cosmetic.
My own body sent is changed. I can take a shower and with in a hour I smell this odd chemical smell. I suppose perhaps it's some how related to keytosis.
My wife is bravely deciding to follow my lead and get WLS. Unlike me she is only 100 LBS overweight but she is diabetic unlike me.
For those of you who know what TOPS is, I was the 2003 International King. I think when I get back to goal I really want to be a motivational speaker and perhaps even a personal trainer.

Can the remnant stomach reabsorb the pouch??? IIRC, a fistula is an "unauthorized" opening. Again, I could be misremembering, but the old retired stomach is cut away from the pouch. Were they growing together? Interesting.
Cosmetic changes? I betcha there's a lot of difference around your liver, heart, and other vital organs. That's the most important part of weight loss.
You've got some good ideas. Helping others get healthy is the best way to stay healthy yourself.

Thanks for the reply. The surgeon said the part of the stomach they cut away was "HUGE" probly because I was abusing the VBG so much. When they did the fistula surgery they cut it down to size if I understand what the surgeon said.

Allen just think how much of an inspiration you can be to others considering what you have been through. Keep fighting day by day you can do it.
