What's for dinner - Friday!

Starting the thread early because I'm leaving work early today. I'll explain why in a sec. 

So...this has been a good day. Let's just review, shall we:

1. Didn't get into this too much on the boards today but you know how we all have "the one that got away"? Well...I got him BACK! Woot! (and no it is not babydaddy...he is the *other* one who got away...but that I don't want back)

2. The sun is shining and it is GORGEOUS outside

3. I took a nice, long al fresco lunch today (see my post about it)

4. I got invited to a food truck rally, which is why I am headed out early to get the girls. I don't want to go to eat so much as to experience...altho...to be fair...I will eat...lol

5. I got my sample of Click Decaf today to review! (Click is sending samples to bloggers to try and is giving away canisters for when it starts to ship in early-June). Stay tuned to BF to learn how you can win you some!

6. Thanks to all the folks who ordered Quest bars from my site last month I am able to send a good sized donation to my friend Ruby Sue, *****cently buried her son. I'm hoping to be able to send the total donation from the "Foodie Nation" early next week! 

So I am in good spirites today.

Anyway, dinner is something from this rally. If I am still hungry later I will have some of my kickass spicy vegetarian chili. 

Here's what else I had today:

1. Pure Protein Bar
2. Scrambled eggs and cheese on a piece of 9-grain toast
3. The most gorgeous Thai salad ever with shrimp, clams (mussells?) and squid on top with some sort of delicious sweet/vinegar-y/spicy dressing

So...what's on YOUR plate today?

Ohhh...the one that got away...how exciting.  Did he inspire your senior year in high school post?? 

Today is a beautiful day!  I went out to buy some mroe gym clothes and I actually bought a tank top to run in.  We'll see how confident I feel wear it tomorrow on my run.  I also went out to purchase flweors to plan and I bought some herbs and a tomoatoe plant.  I am looking forward to cleaning up our back patio, god knows my landlord would NEVER clean up the mess back there.  Heading to a restraunt on the Charles River for an app (dinner) and a drink with my hubby.

Anyway food- haven';t done so great with protein today....

Breakfast- 1 egg over easy w/ 1/4 c white beans
Lunch- Pure Protein bar
That's it.  I think I'll need mini protein shake before heading for dinner al fresco.

Not sure what I'm doing for dinner as of yet. However, I am currently eating a ham & cheese rollup with a few wheat thins. Just glad to be feeling like eating today.

I just finished eating a piece of Swiss cheese.  I am thinking I would like to go to Chipotle tonight when my partner gets home from work, which will be a little more than an hour from now.  But I needed something in my tummy now.  I am in the mood for a burrito bowl with a little brown rice (I love that they have brown rice now), black beans, peppers and onions, cheese and green chili salsa.  I will be disappointed if he doesn't want to go out.

Also today I ate a protein bar, a protein shake, and some homemade Greek yogurt.

Having a few friends over for dinner tonight so I was thinking beef hotdogs and chicken sausages. I haven't really gone there yet so we will see how it goes. I don't really have many food aversions so I think it will be all good :-)

I had a large coffee on the way to work and maybe about half a cup of oatmeal for breakfast.

Lunch was half of a chicken quesadilla from the caf which was surprisingly tasty.

Then...disaster...lol The Sugar Cupcake truck was here at work and I bought some cupcakes to take to the beach tomorrow. I had their Lemon Drop cupcake and it was SO GOOD, until I crashed from the sugar about 20 minutes later. Not a true dump, but I had to lay down and take a 4 hour nap, lol

So, I just ate a Quest Bar and I have a Chobani and a Cottage Cheese for later. Dinner may have to be a salad to do some damage control.

I'll probably have the rest of my pure protein bar that I have left from lunch. And maybe some chili! Mmmmm.... With cheese....

I declared today a total rest day and haven't really strayed from that too much. My legs are still fatigued. I took chicken eggs to a friend, went to buy horse and rabbit feed, stopped by the vet to have Rio's nails cut and my fave vet was there so visited with her for about 30 minutes (yes, I am paying their mortgage). I went to my parent's house and crashed on their couch... about an hour and half of dozing off and on. Nice. Then I unloaded feed. Now - relax in front of Tv, then to bed for my 5k tomorrow.

B - mint cookie protein / skim milk
L - Nik's Chicken Pot Pie LOVE
D - will be scrambled egg w/ shrimp, pepper , cheese; P28 toast
S - cottage cheese and SF jello w/ fruit OR Peppers and cheese

L left over salad from last night with diced turkey, low fat cheese, and kidney beans
D Baked chicken, carrots.  My daughter made an apple crisp for dessert.  It smells really good.  I may have to make a baked apple with cinnamon later.

Food truck rally? Interesting.

I started speedwork on the treadmill today. So I ran 6 intervals, 4 minutes at 5.2 and 1 minute at 6.6, I threw in an extra minute at a sprint at the end. Total of 30 minutes running, then I walked on an incline for 10 and cooled down for 5. My head was soaked like I had just showered.

Eats:

B: Chocolate Coconut protein shake
L: Out with a friend, had a small tuna salad w/ feta and the house oil/vinegar dressing. Ate about half and tossed the rest...old salad is always gross.
D: Well, I was kind of an idiot and ate like 8 Ritz Crackers so, there goes dinner.
S: If I ever have room again after the crackers I'll probably do a cottage double, or something smallish.
