Raw milk, Syntrax Nectar cappuccino protein powder, a little bit of decaf instant coffee, a little Splenda, and a splash of da vinci raspberry syrup.  Shaken, served over ice.  I am loving this!

That does sound good.  I am out of Nectar cappuccino but coffee, chocolate and raspberry would work I bet.

Raw milk is milk that has not been pasteurized.  It's milk the way it comes out of the cow.

I order my Syntrax Nectar from vitalady.com but you can get it other places too.  You can order a sample from vitalady to make sure you like it before you order a big tub of it.

a personal question, do you not like pasturized milk? Or do you feel the raw milk is better for your stomach...just curious?
Thanks so much, it sounds wonderful.
It's been a while since I have been on here.
You have helped me in the past too, my weight is down 80 lbs. I have some slow times but it has gradually come off. I am always looking for different things to eat or drink to get in my vitamins or protein though....thanks again.

I do think raw milk is healthier.  For one thing, it contains an enzyme, lactase, that we need to help us digest lactose.  Pasteurizing milk destroys the lactase in it.  Many people that are lactose intolerant can actually tolerate raw milk just fine, because it still has the lactase in it.

That's not really why I started buying raw milk, though.  I wanted to buy milk from a local farm, from cows that were treated humanely.  I wanted to buy eggs the same way.  Small farms that sell milk typically sell it raw, not pasteurized.  I could pasteurize it myself if I wanted to, but after reading about the benefits of raw milk, and the reasons why pasteurization was introduced in the first place, decided this milk does not need to be pasteurized.

Milk that comes from huge dairy farms where hundred of cows are confined in tiny stalls and the cows are often sick and conditions are very unsanitary should absolutely be pasteurized, it is likely to be full of nasty germs.  Milk that comes from healthy cows that spend most of their time out in a pasture and the rest of their time in nice clean barns most likely does not need to be pasteurized.

oh ok...thanks that makes sence.
I don't like the way animals are treated either...and I do have lactose trouble, but I just know when I can drink it and when I can't. Thanks for sharing.
