Ok, I am far from stupid (and have a Mensa card to prove it), and don't generally mind -- or have trouble following -- movies with flashbacks, but I have now tried to watch "The Iron Lady" twice and just cannot seem to figure out what the hell is going on.  Did anyone else have trouble following the beginning of this movie (and find it incredibly boring to boot)?!?

I normally like Meryl Streep, but this may have to join "Out of Africa" on my "I just cannot fini****" list.

I very much lived in the "Maggie Thatcher (milk snatcher)" era and so am looking forward to seeing this at some point ...   Don't know if being part of the history will make it any easier to understand or not.   Meryl Streep looks and sounds eerily like her though ...

Considering the historic importance of MT's role, it was a very odd movie. I was under the impression during the whole show that she was suffering from dementia from the way she was portrayed. The end finally pulls it together.

I thought the parts where she's talking to her dead husband quite bizarre, and made a very formidable lady seem pathetic. I did enjoy the movie despite all that. It was refreshing to see the flashbacks, and just how strong she truly was.

I can't say I found "The Iron Lady" difficult to follow, but "Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy" was completely bewildering to me.  The last scene made the entire audience make this "ah-ha" sound and I still had no idea what the heck was happening.  Movies that leave me completely confused annoy me to no end.
