I think we all know how important our vitamins are (if you don't know, tell me and I'll fill you in).  But for many reasons, sometimes it's hard to get them in.  It might be the cost of vitamins, it might be the taste of some chewables, it might just be remembering to take them several times a day, they might make you nauseous, etc.  I've dealt with most of those problems myself.

While those are all valid concerns, it's important to find ways to get the vitamins in anyway.

I was having a lot of trouble remembering my third dose of calcium citrate, so I finally ordered more of the Calcet creamy bites, which are delicious.  I look forward to eating them.  It's like a tiny little snack in the middle of the afternoon.  I don't forget them, I look forward to them.

What problems do you have with getting your vitamins in?  Have you found solutions?
Well, I have always been one who hates taking medicines, maybe the reason why I have 10 children, forgetting to take birth control

just kidding.......but I do have trouble taking alll of my vitamins whether I write them down or not......I try to simplify things.....like B-12 injection per month, Upcal D calcium citrate packets, can take on the go, remembering to get my damn iron prescription filled and sometimes it is the cost of all the supplements and my kids needinf something and also what I call medicine brain.....if I am on pain meds forget it, i can't find my damn shoe

Im a creature of habit. I have an alarm on my phone that reminds me what to take and when. I was having a hard time before that, but now the alarm hasn't even gone off and my internal clock is already telling me it's time. The bad thing (or rather it's a good thing, but it's thrown me off) is that I've had to add more iron, D-3, B-1 and vitamin C to the mix. The NUT wants us to keep up with all the vitamins required, so they've added these in. So now I need a new schedule and I'm still trying to work out the kinks.

You don't need a new schedule.  Just add the D3 and B1 with one of your multis, and take then additional iron and C with your iron you've been taking.

I do really good with my morning, evening and bedtime pills.  But noon time--that is my worst.  I have yet to find anything that works.  Ideas?  Suggestions?

I have tried putting my pill case out where I can see it.  It just sits there.  I have tried alarms.  I have even asked my DH to help--he forgets to remind me.

Take them with your lunch.  Keep them wherever you keep your lunch food.

I keep my multi on my bathroom counter so it's the first thing I take in the morning even before my shower so it is rare that I miss that one.   I am really good during the week at work with my other vitamins because I keep an organizer with me in my lunch box and see them at each break to remind me to take them.  I have a harder time remembering them on the weekend but have started to leave it out on my kitchen table where I can't miss them.  That has seemed to help me a lot.  I was wondering where you get the Calcet creamy bites?  I went on the Vitalady site and didn't see them but maybe I didn't look hard enough?

I don't think she carries them.  I order mine from Celebrate.

Thanks Kelly.  Another question.  I use the Bariatric Advantage chewable multivitamin.  The serving is two chewables a day.  Does it make a difference if you have both of them at the same time or split them up?

I recommend splitting them up because we can only absorb so much of some nutrients at a time.

I have been forgetting to take them lately.  I see some folks set an alarm for a reminder on their phone, I will try this and see if that will help.  Usually I start out good in the am and then just get busy with all the daycare kids and then my kids come home and on and on.   Thanks for the post, hope this helps me as I do not like forgetting about them.
