who is having trouble getting their vitamins in?

Where do you keep your vitamins?  What if you put your morning vitamins right in front of your toothbrush?  So you'd actually have to pick them up and move them out of your way in order to brush your teeth in the morning?  And find a place to put your other doses where it would be really hard to miss them.

That's a good idea and I will try that. Right now I just have them in the medicine cabinet and I also have a holder that I keep in my purse to take my vitamins when I am at work not just home.

I started off taking my vitamins pretty good, but forgetting sometimes.  That was when I was on a liquid diet.

Now I'm on a soft diet and when I find a food that doesn't come back up, I stay full for a long time.  I only try to eat 2 or 3 times per day.  Can only eat 1-2 ounces of food at a time.  My chewable vitamins (multi vitamins and calcium) are so big.  I'm supposed to take 2 mutlis and 3 calcium tablets per day.  If I did that, I couldn't eat anything; I would be too full all day.

So, I really have 2 problems with my vitamins.  I forget and If I do remember, then I don't have enough room for food.

Hmm.  What about using Upcal D for your calcium citrate?  It's a powder and you can put it in any drink and it has no taste.  You can also mix it in yogurt or stuff like that.  It wouldn't make you any more full than whatever you mixed it in would make you.

I talked to my surgeon's office today. They said I should add biotin to my routine to help avoid the hair loss. Can you tell me how many times a day I should take it and when? Thanks

You might want to ask your surgeon about how much to take.  There is no "official" recommendation, like from the ASMBS or something like that.  I've never seen any studies that show it will prevent hair loss, either, but some people say it helps hair grow back.  It's a water soluble vitamin so it's hard to take too much.

Since day one ive always done great with my multi and my b12 but ive struggled with the calcium and iron. Iron is very very hit and miss and calcium is something Ive been trying to take every day but hate the chewable I have and also have been forgetting to take all the doses. I just bought the some lemon chewy bits and also started coordinating my doses with my meals.

Guilty. I get so confused about what I need, how often, what can't be taken with what, etc. and my stomach tends to hurt after all supplements. Ugh!

Ive been much better lately though, it's the dang calcium that trips me up. I usually get only 3/4 of what I need. :(

I'm really good about my morning doses...as the day progresses and my schedule gets more hectic I will often forget my last multi and my third dose of calcium.  I'm working on it.  Need to put some of the great ideas from this thread to work.
