If you didnt SAY your weight was different in both of those 'after' photos, I would not know. Seriously there is a 30 lb difference there? WHERE?

and I LOVE today's outfit :) I has a badassery feel YAY!

Yep. Im starting to wrap my head around the 220's is where I may stay. I havent lost anything since 7 months post op. Doesnt matter how hard I work. I have spent the last year working it and its just not going to happen. I must embrace this and move on with my life. Im saving for plastics now.

But hey, I can kick some ass in the gym!!

It's funny you mention this today. I'm not as worried about regain as I am about just hitting my goal, period. I SHOULD be worried about regain, as I have a long history of chronic yo-yo'ing, but right now, just getting TO my goal is bigger priority.

I'm so freaking short, but so solidly built that I can't for the life of me figure out where the hell I'm supposed to be as far as ideal weight. When I told my surgeon that 98-110lbs was my "ideal" according to BMI, he laughed. Literally, he busted out a giggle and told me flatly that if that happened, he'd be extremely worried for my health.

I'm sticking to my 150 figure with intention to lose more if needed. But I haven't been 150 in...um, almost 10 years? So it's a scary thing to me, and it feels very foreign and unrealistic. Even though I know it is possible. I'm having trouble wrapping my head around it.

Anyway, this is my longwinded, babbling way of saying thanks for the reminder that the numbers don't matter so much.

You do look amazing. I think the 200 looks better on you than the 172. You look really healthy and happy. And look at those hips! Damn, woman! ;)

my doctor warned us that the regain will happen and then you will plateau.  Its normal and you look happy and healthy.

I feel you. My goal is 160. I feel at that weight I can still be strong and lean without being fragile.

I agree with everyone else...you look dang good at 200 lbs. You look fit, healthy, and happy.

I am constantly reminding my IRL bariatric friends that SOMETIMES it is a healthier thing to redefine our meaning of success than it is to abuse ourselves trying to hit and/or maintain a specific number.

According to "THEM", I should weigh between 114 (BMI 19) and 150 (BMI 25)!

At 114 I would look like a corpse!

At 150 I wear a size 6 jeans and small or medium top.

I prefer to maintain my weight in the 150-155 range; for me, this is where my skin glows, my hair is shiny, and I feel I can eat like a "normal" person without having to restrict my intake drastically. Yes, I am "careful" to eat a protein forward, low refined foods diet; but I don't count ANYTHING or obsess about every morsel passing my lips.

So my mantra is: redefine your meaning of SUCCESS....be realistic....enjoy life.

First off ... you look just like your mother ... how precious is that?

second ... you look absolutely fabulous!  But where I see the beauty lies with you is inside ... I love your spirit!

Keep doing what you are doing Nik!
