A loaded pancake.... WHAT A PANCAKE...
EASY PEASY AND TO DIE FOR.... made in the blink of an eye.... want to have pancakes for b-fast or whenever steering away from the carb monster?
I made this for breakfast this morning ... easy peasy and TASTY ... LOADED WITH PROTEIN AND BY MY CALCULATION LESS THAN 200 CALS FOR 28G OF PROTEIN ....
IN A BOWL MIX 1 Scoop Vanilla or unflavored protein powder .. (banana flavored works well too... can get creative with any flavors really)..
Add one egg (can use egg whites only or eggbeater if preferred)
Add small amount of water ... about 1/8 or a cup or less keep mixture thick
Add cinnamon
Add 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Add pinch of baking powder
Add sweetener of choice MIX
Spray hot skillet
Pour mixture in portioned off to make 2-3 pancakes or 1 large pancake Brown on one side ... flip.. brown the next... (sometimes I cheat and stick skillet in top broiler to brown top a bit before flipping)
Top with SF syrup of choice or use no syrup at all ....
Mine was topped with blueberries the other day and this morning I topped it with fresh strawberries...
NOM NOM NOM .... TO DIE FOR ... hmmmmmmmmm hit the spot this morning and I am sooooooooooooooooooooo full still .. on one pancake out of 2 made.... DELISH!!!! will have another mid morning to get the full benefit of all the protein ...

Thank you Cleopatra ... I bet one or two of those WILL hold you for sometime ... I have no idea if it is the egg/protein combo or what but they are FILLING ... they taste so good I want that extra bite but just physically can't ... if I eat the extra bite I would be in distress and hurling which I avoid at all cost LOL....
My DD has had not type of WLS and is over 6 ft tall and cannot finish a whole one of those.. she diets and exercises and I talked to her about a VSG but with her recent diagnosis of polymyositis and dermatomyositis we don't want any type of trauma to trigger a flare-up ... her rheumatologist has just now decreased her Prednisone enough and has kept her on 150 of Imuran and her CPKs are stable... so any talk of WLS for her has to be on hold for a while... ... now my son the string bean can eat one two three four LOL .... he can eat mine hers and the whole house and not gain an ounce ... so totally not fair LOL....

I have made it with chocolateprotein ... and I have ALSO made an awesome Chocolate Protein Shake Cake that a DS sister shared with us ... I just tweaked it for my RNY and it is delicious and easy .... I will try to find the recipe on my blog or on the MB and come back and share it... it is DELISH...
I found the thread I had done on the chocolate protein shake/cake recipe a while back tweaking a recipe that was shared by a D-Ser ... not only did I make the cake shake that was DELICIOUS I also made protein brownies and protein chocolate cake with it ... of course my family off'd most of it before I could have any LOL ... it is just delish ...
and this is me enjoying that delicious shake/cake recipe ... in its own mug... straight up protein and I only use a couple drops of or can't believe its not butter in mine... I use either Splenda or Stevia .. replace for sweetener of your choice....
How I make it:
3 tsp splenda or sweetener of choice
1 tsp packed dark cocoa
1 scoop chocolate protein powder
1/4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla extract
A fee drops of virgin olive oil OR 1tsp Can't Believe Its not Butter
water to make a thin non grainy batter
Mix WELL.
Stick in the microwave and nuke.... for a couple minutes
FOR THE PROTEIN CAKE/BROWNIES JUST ADD ONE EGG AND NUKE FOR 3 MINUTES USING A MICROWAVABLE BOWL ... NOM NOM NOM...
