What are you doing/eating today? Thursday!
Congrats on completing your move! Weekend will be here soon and you can get some rest!
My night wasn't bad. I had the ballet/gymnastics run that my hubby usually does. Wednesday is cub scouts and hubby would rather do ballet..... whatever. Anyway, good night until my dd gives me the cookie that they reward them with (HATE that). I ate the single cookie & dumped. Spent the next 2 hours trying to make small talk with the mommies despite the gut pain. Nice. Today, there will be no cookies. There will be no cookies for a long long time.
Today:
Power crunch bar
left over subway veggie sub w/ ff italian dressing
Nik - your spagetti sounds really good. My pouch doesn't like noodles, but I usually have 3-4 and still call it having spagetti.
Have a good day!

Congrats on the first night in the new house! We'll be seeing pics I'm sure when it's all moved in and rearranged. :)
I had 24 oz water before breakfast.
Breakfast was the usual. 0% Fage, strawberries, splenda, Special K protein cereal and ground flax.
I'm about to start on my decaf with splenda and ff nd creamer in about 5 more minutes, then I need to get in 48 oz of water before lunch.
I have a physician adoption (EHR) meeting at lunch today and I think they will be serving sandwich boxes, which usually means a sanmmy, chips and a cookie. I'll probably eat the sammy guts and suppliment with an orange or a sf pudding or something else.
Then I'll need to work on 48 more oz of water before leaving for the day. I'll have a protein drink around 3.
Dinner - no clue - again. I have yoga tonight from 7-8 and sometime before or after that I need to run to the next town to drop off my musical ticket with my bff. It's Thursday after next, which is her kid's graduation so we need to exchange it for a different night. My kid also has a band concert so it works out for me too! This month's musical in Memphis. We have season tickets.
So, I'll be sweaty power yogaing tonight. I love my power class!
I've been eyeing the Bodymedia Fit Lync at Costco. It's $169.99 right now with a year subscription. Do I really need it? I kinda really think I want it. I have a mileage reimbursement check that will cover it. Discuss.
I also want a new nook. Mind you, mine is perfectly fine. It's the First Edition original. But the new one is so much smaller, lighter and comes with a glowlight for night reading. Want. I won a $150 gift card a few weeks ago and that should just cover it. My original has more features - 3G plus wifi, a dictionary, a browser, games, blogs - but realistically all I ever do is read. I need to justify replacing a perfectly good nook with a new one. I could give it to my kids - they read, but not as much as I do and they prefer physical books. Justify...
Okay, I'm off to start my coffee.
Anyone have some good easy suggestions for dinner tonight? I have nothing thawed, but I have pork chops (had that last night), chicken breast, ground beef, probably some steak of some sort, and canned chicken.

I love my BodyMedia Fit. It gives me a LOT of data about my activity, what things REALLY burn lots of calories and it reaffirms some things that I wondered about. For instance:
-I DO burn a lot more daily calories when I eat breakfast relatively soon after waking
-of ALL normal daily activities I do, walking gets the best return on investment calorie wise
-of all machines at the gym the calories burned readings on the treadmill tend to be most accurate, while those of the elliptical tend to be the most INACCURATE (the elliptical tells me I burn about twice as much as I actually do)
-I learned I generally don't sleep that much, even when I think I am sleeping
-Oh and here is one for PAUL: sex actually does not burn that many calories. Even when you do it vigorously ;)
You also have a lot of flexibility to personalize your goals to push yourself. Like the basic settings count walking to your car as moderate activity. That doesn't help me much so I raised the bar. I always want that "beep" to notify me that I hit my moderate activity goals (and vigorous activity as well) so I make sure to do what it takes (which is walking at a brisk pace for moderate. Running counts as vigorous.)
To me knowing is well worth the price!

My husband got the new Nook too despite having the first edition. He loooves it. I have a Sony. You could always sell your old one. I know I'm not helping here. Books in any form are my weakness.
Dinner: why yes, I do have a suggestion, and that is Chicken Au Gratin
1 pound of so of chicken breast
1/4 onion
2 stalks of celery sliced on the bias
1 can of cream of chicken soup ( or cream of whatever you have)
1 cup reduced fat sour cream or plain greek yogurt
salad herbs (garlic, dill, green onion or Italian seasoning)
cheese, preferably Cheddar
cook the onion and celery until it starts to get soft. While it's cooking, cut the chicken breast into either thin slices or small chunks. Throw it in with the onion and celery. Cook it about for about 10 mins on medium heat.
Meanwhile in a bowl combine the cream of whatever soup, the sour cream, the herbs, and about half a cup of warm water. Stir.
Get out a baking dish. Put the chicken mix in the dish and cover it with the soup mixture. Stir. Season with a little black pepper. Put in 350 degree oven for 30 mins.
After 30 mins, put some grated cheese on top. As much as you like or as much as you can stand depending on your stance on cheese. Throw it back in the oven for 10 mins then take it out and serve.
I serve it with cauliflower rice or regular rice for my crew.
No rice for me though.

Do you use instant or brewed coffee? The instant is not that great... I'm a southern girl... I like it Mississippi mud!
