Thyroid question...Cytomel
I have been hypothyroid for 20 years now. Since surgery it has been all over the place. Last August my TSH was 24. I was able to get it down to 14 with an increased dose of synthroid. My Dr. increased it again and my TSH went up to 16. He put me on cytomel. Has anyone ever had this and what were your results. I am really hoping this will work. I am so tired all the time even though my other labs are perfect. My weight loss has also slowed down to a crawl even though I am eating well and exercising several hours a day. I know it could be other reasons, but it would be so nice if this was the answer.
Thanks

Have not heard of it. But this sounds scary to my I have been hypothyroid for 11 years now and I am only 27 and on 150mcg of synthroid. I will make sure my primary keeps track of it as well.... YIKES how long ago did you have surgery? Are the pills not absorbing right? Best of luck.
