What's for dinner - Tuesday!

For La Petite Diva, a steaming hot bowl of discipline is in order. Her PRINCIPAL calls me today, saying she's been openly defiant at lunch time, getting in the middle of student arguments (and promoting the arguments!). This jives with what her aftercare director told me two weeks ago so I am not sure what is going on with Ms. Girlfriend but we're going to find out. I'm going to TRY to hear her out about it and then we are going to go over the rules she knows she is supposed to follow and the consequences for continuing to break said rules.

Sigh...these are the not fun moments in parenthood.

Other than that we have a Girl Scouts camping meeting then we're going to shoot over to the new house to bring some stuff cuz...WE HAZ ELECTRICITAY!!!! Yay!

Dinner? Dunno. But I do know now that the new house has a fridge I'ma gonna go grocery shopping tomorrow evening. Woot! I also pick up their mattresses tomorrow so HOPEFULLY we'll all be sleeping at the new house.

Here's what I had today:

1. PB: about 1/4 c. cottage cheese with strawberries and Fiber One
2. A spicy jamaican beef patty (boo. bad choice but it was YUMMY!)
3. A bowl of chili and a salad with balsamic vinaigrette

What's on YOUR plate?

If La Petite Diva is acting out of character it may be that she is still having feelings over your mothers passing that she hasn't or doesn't know how to deal with. Especially if your mom was a big part of ya'lls life. I know a lot of children that started acting out after the passing of someone close.
 As for food stuff

B- Atkins caramel cafe protein shake
L- A few beef tips and about 1/2 cup of salad
S- pumpkin spice protein bar
D-Orange roughy baked with Cajun seasoning and lemon. Also asparagus

Kashi it is very good. Its not the perfect protein bar but When you can only afford so much you gotta do the best you can. I think it only has 11g. 140 calories. It came in a 12 pack for 2.50. So it worked for me. Probably to many carbs for the hard liners. But it has flax seed and I need that to help in the number 2 department

Those are pretty good. I think they could have more spice. But..that hasn't stopped me from filling up my snack basket with them every week.

It's been a BariatricFoodie kind of day!

B: Nik's Cinnamon Roll Oatmeal
S: 1/2 Quest Bar
L: Ham, Laughing Cow, Applesauce
S: 1/2 Quest Bar
D: Leftover Nik's Taco Casserole (man it make a lot... froze a bunch last night)

My doctor/nut say three meals a day, no snacks.  But am finding my own way now.  Testing my wings.  I think as long as the snacks are healthy and pre-planned they should be okay.  We'll see at weigh in tomorrow!

Good luck with your daughter Nik.  I'm sure she has a perfectly reasonable explanation (don't they always??)

I've got a support group meeting tonight, so I'm probably eating cottage cheese.

I cooked dinner for the family last night, and they will be dining on a non WLS friendly hashbrown casserole type of di****'s got bacon, hashbrowns, sour cream, so all their bases for carbs and fat are covered! If I know them, they will chase it with some ice cream.
