What are you doing/eating today? Monday!

I've got a dental cleaning in few. Afterwards will run by the post office to mail the rest of my granddaughters graduation announcements. It's hard to believe she's reached this milestone in her life. Drank my protein drink for breakfast and will have a boiled egg for lunch. I'm really tired today and don't want to think about grocery shopping for dinner.

I am half the person I was in 2008.
I have issues with both Mother's Day and Father's Day -- Mother's Day b/c when I was 13, my 15 year old first cousin and neighbor committed suicide and they buried him on Mother's Day 1991. Father's Day b/c my daddy is no longer here AND my husband's dad passed on Father's Day 2006.
This should be my last day on the crutch -- pain in minimal!

- bbq chicken and steamed broccoli for dinner

Moving on to more positive things..... great weekend! Well, not with food... but with activity. I completed the "Dam Run"... a 4 miler... in 53 minutes. Slow, but finished! AND.... I bought a bike! So more activity to come.

lunch: nutrisystem veggie chili
dinner: not 100% sure, I have a meeting tonight & promised a kiddo that I would do some bike lessons after work. Maybe a veggie burger or something similar.

You will see a "geeky happy" post from me somewhere around the end of my first week in the new house about how WONDERFUL it is living right near the Y. AND my best friend has agreed to rejoin the Y (we went our separate ways because I lived so far away I wasn't getting there often).

I've been getting wicked leg cramps lately and I know it's because I've been slacking on my fluid intake by the end of the day. So, hoping to do better. I also want to try and get some Pilates in today.

Bfkast: I made myself a protein pancake Delish ..(scoop of whey vanilla, egg white, add little bit of water, cinnamon and sweetener of choice ... beat well ... spray skillet and pour mixture ...one side ... turn to other side just like a regular pancake ... topped it with blueberries ... TO DIE FOR)
Lunch: I threw a salmon patty on the grill this morning ... wrapped it well and bought it for lunch ... my lunchbox it thermal so it should still be warm ... I would not want to leave fish smell in the microwave at work...
Dinner: potluck ... DH is on the stove for dinner ... hoping for an awesome surprise...
It is a crazy Monday ... and now off until I can sign back on again...

Sorry you're feeling a little down. I remember now reading about your mom. The milestone dates are hard, but they get a little easier as time goes by. My dad died when he was 39. I still have my mom and I try hard not to complain about her. She can be difficult. But then after raising 5 kids almost on her own, I guess she has the right. LOL
