Random Poll o' the Week: Non-ops say the darndest things...

 I had one of these moments THE MORNING AFTER SURGERY. Best part? It was from a NURSE on the floor, who was explaining that my Doc had operated on her sister previously, & was telling me how well her sister was doing. She followed it up with:

"I am now 85 Kg, but I used to be 105 Kg. But I lost it correctly. With diet and exercise."

 One that I get all the time isn't so much funny but irritating and it's from my husband.  He constantly asks me if after my plastics, am I going to get a reversal.   Yeah, because I would love to stretch it all back out and gain back 265 lbs....no thank you!

I constantly get "Oh my gosh those pants are FALLING off of you! (then the person starts laughing). 

People are always asking me when I'm going to stop losing weight too...like there's an off button or something O_o

You look anorexic!!!!!!!!  Really? 136 pounds at 5"5''- I don't think so!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The big boss told me she watched a special on weight loss cause she knew that i had it.  It followed three people..

1. lost her job cause she stole from work to buy her new clothes
2. "turned" gay left her husband and ended up killing her self
3. & the last one was "normal"
she then went on to tell me she is watching me.

I told her... what i am gonna steal from work.. pencils?  (as i work for the government) 

After being out for 3 weeks following the RNY, from my Indonesian male co worker.
"You look exactly the same. What's the big deal?"
Down 26 pounds, and a size already at that point, but whatever.

"You don't look like yourself at all anymore. You look great!"

Shortly after I finally reached my goal weight (20 months post-op) and was wearing a size 10 pair of pants: "So, how much more weight will you be able to lose?"

And my favorite, from a former grad school colleague who also had WLS: "I thought you would be smaller... Your boobs are still huge (or some word to that effect)!"
