What are you eating/doing today? FRIDAY!!!!

Today is a weigh in day at work.  They do health promotions every so often for $$ and today is the last day of the 100 day challenge.  If you log all your activity and your weight for 100 days, and maintain or make progress toward a healthy weight then you'll get $50 in your next paycheck.  I should be at or around the same weight as when I weighed in November.

Bottle of water on the way to work.

B - 0% Fage, frozen cherries, splenda topped with Special K Protein cereal and ground flax.

decaf with splenda and ff nd creamer.

L - 5 oz tilapia, some Campari tomatoes (yum!), and some cantaloupe if there's room.  I'm working on this whole liking to eat fish thing.  This is fish round 3 in the past few months.  Same fish, same product, same everything.  Baby steps, not time to branch out yet.  :)

I have 1 1/2 scoops of Matrix protein for the ride home from work.

I also have an apple, an orange and a protein bar if the need arises.  I'm never without an emergency stash.  I have bars and single serving protein in my desk drawer.

I'll need to get in 48 oz water before lunch and another 48 oz before heading home.

Not sure what dinner will be.  Hubby has some stuff to do to prepare for a fundraiser tomorrow so I'll probably be on my own.

Kudos to you for trying to like fish. I know a lot of folks who would not bother.

Do you like curry at all? I have a yummy curried tilapia soup that's easy to make and is yummmmmmeeeeeee!

I do like some curries, but I'd be willing to give it a try!

Here's the recipe. You can tweak it to your liking!

In the recipe I use pre-made curry from the Asian market. But you can also use whatever combo of curry powder and other spices that you like.

Goes great also with quinoa or over cauliflower rice.

I am swamped to my eyebrows today. No gym for me this morning.

I have a massive sheet cake due tomorrow, and I was up til 1am sculpting adorable little dinosaurs out of fondant.  I have a ton more work to do, though. Half the cake is still in the oven, and then I have to frost it, pipe on a million thatches of grass, sculpt a volcano, build a waterfall, and make about a bajillion fondant flowers, ferns, trees, etc.

I have a wedding cake due next weekend, and during the week, I've got 13 Mother's Day orders to fill. Business is booming, but it's overwhelming sometimes. I wish I had the capital to rent a professional kitchen and some help.

I have a meeting with my counselor this afternoon, and I'm going to miss Shabbat services tonight because (irony of ironies) I have to work.

So. Breakfast? Ha. Haven't even gotten started on eating yet.  I guess breakfast will be some greek yogurt while I putter around the kitchen. I have no idea about the rest of the day. Gonna wing it.

Anyway, here's one of my dinos. He makes me smile.

I wish I lived closer. I'm no help with decorating but I can wash the hell out of some cake pans and dirty dishes!

That dinosaur is too cute.

Professional baking fascinates me. So how long does it take to construct a wedding cake?

The one I'm doing will take about two days.

It's a three-layer tiered cake for a Rock and Roll wedding. I'm going to cover it in white buttercream and black, red, and silver fondant circles.  Then I'm going to sculpt a  group of rockers to hang out on the different levels--a drummer, a guitarist, a headbanger.  Should be cute.

I hired an intern for a while to help with exactly that--basically, just cleaning up behind me, which seems to be a weak point of mine. My kitchen turns into a trainwreck awfully fast when it's just me. She's been busy lately, though, so I'm on my own again.
