What is/was/will be for dinner? Wednesday!

Oh...blessed old ladies. How I missed you!

I'd just not been up to church dinner these past few weeks but tonight I wanted to go. Firstly I miss my Wednesday supper family and secondly...we ain't got no food! (Moving will do that)

They served lasagna. But here's the best part for my weirdo tastes...someone left it in the oven too long and the top was completely burnt. I loved it. So did the divas. La Grande Diva (no lie) had about five helpings. After several days of eating bits and pieces of things left in the fridge, I admit I (over)indulged. Had lasagna with salad and green beans. A small piece of cake for dessert. And then two small cookies after service a few hours later. So I'm carby but content (that should be a t-shirt).

Here's what else I had today:

1. Egg, turkey bacon and cheese in half an Arnold Pocket Thin
2. RTD Muscle Milk (cookies and cream...I tasted the cream but not the cookies)
3. Chicken salad
4. Some tomato slices with a tbsp ranch dressing
5. Lasagna and salad w/ cake
6. Two small cookies

Stick a fork in me peeps. I am DONE!

What's on your plate?

Vietnamese food from the best place in town. I had chicken, pork, and shrimp over rice.  My son is happily eating my leftover rice and excess meat. Also had a few bites of a Vietnamese pancake with shrimp and tofu. Delicious.

Hmmm I had pizza. Now I think back and realize that the salads I've been having lately have been FAR more satisfying than a boring old piece of pizza

So I'll likely have a salad in a bit

I can't eat cookies though. My biggest temptation. I can't NOT eat them. Today I was thinking of going to Subway to get lunch, but then I remembered the cookies, and I knew I'd buy one, so I didn't have subway.

Personally, I prefer gooey lasagna, but I know lots and LOTS of people who prefers theirs burnt. And I get it--the crunchiness is delish.

I don't know what the heck is going on with me. I'm SO tired. For two days, I feel like I'm being drained. Is it possible for the typical post-WLS fatigue to set it at almost 3 months out? I'm not losing any more weight, I'm eating alright, I'm taking my vitamins... but I feel next to death all day, every day this week.

Dinner is going to be couscous with chicken sausages. I need some carbs or something.

Do you take B12?

you push yourself a lot and stay busy.... have you tried just a couple of total rest days? Lots of water?

Yep,  I take B1, B2, B6, and B12.  It's a total sublingual complex.

I think I may be a little dehydrated. With all this fatigue, I've been relying too much on caffeine in the morning.  I'm really sucking back the water and propel today, hopefully that will help.

I wish I had the time for a couple total rest days.  What I REALLY want is a spa day.  My husband comes home for a visit in June and promised me a spa day, so I'm going to make him make good on that. ;)

You might ask about the injectable B12. I thought B12 was just B12, but I could tell a definite difference with the injection.
  Hope you feel better soon!

This is about when I started feeling some serious fatigue.  Three months is right around when you are due for another set of labs so hopefully that will tell you if something is going on.

I felt drained all the time, and my protein was low and my iron was low.  I basically found out I needed to take in 120 minimum of protein a day to keep it up in the normal range (two shakes with 1 1/2 scoops each) and mix up my iron intake.  I finally settled out at a good number with 2 120 mg carbonyl iron and 12mg heme (Proferrin) a day.  The fatigue is sooooo much less evident when I keep these two things up.

I had leftover Taco Casserole. I see more of that in my future!
It is raining still, but after work I will go for a walk unless it is storming. Then I will do pushups / situps / light dumb bells. Have to get my exercise in for the day for my pledge!!
