One thing I love about my weight loss (no matter where it sits) is that I can actually wear some of the trends that come up. Before I could but...I dunno...not all of them looked that great on my pre-op body type.

This year I am excited about wearing my first maxi dress. I was born in the 70's so somehow it feels right to be rocking this 70's inspired style!

And this year I think I am finally going to buy myself a pin-up style bathing suit. They work well for my body shape and most of the ones made these days have the bells and whistles to hide what you want hidden, etc.

What styles are YOU looking forward to rocking?

My mom would call me a fashion lost cause. I like to wear what's comfortable. Don't have any fashion sense, just buy what I feel good in, makes me feel good, and what I think looks good on me, whether it's in style or not. And don't even ask me about designers because I couldn't name any but the most well know. And I don't even know what they design. haha Can you say NERD!

LOL I was asking myself why I even opened this thread... if it isn't sweats (or now that I can wear them, jeans)  I dont' know anything about clothes. My sister is supposed to take me shopping for just a couple of things this Saturday if my nephew doesn't have baseball games.

I don't even know what a maxi dress is!!!!!!

I don't either, but I did not want to ask.  I was going to google it.  Oh brother.....  I think it's a long dress?

You and I are cut from the same mold.  I'm a retired teacher.  I went to Walmart every August and bought 4 or 5 pants a handful of shirts, and that is what I wore all year long.  I hated shopping, literally.  I have no fashion sense either.  Shopping is still stressful for me.  I still tend to want to buy things "just because they  fit."  even though I obviously have more options now.  Old habits are hard to break.

I love a maxi dress - I have 7!!!

I always wear a bikini - even though I am going to be 50 this year and since I lost a few pounds in the last 6 months, I have just bought some short shorts (top of thigh, NOT Daisy Dukes!!!) for my vacation in a couple of weeks - just so I don't get tan lines half way down my thighs... We Europeans often rock a bikini until we are well into our old age and I'm going to be no exception - I have no lumps or bumps so why not???

Enjoy your maxis and bathing suit, Nik, you have worked hard for them!

I'm going both extremes -- maxi AND mini (flirty flowy type skirts and dresses).  Topping the minis off with platforms (I'm already 5-11 but what the hey).  Look out warm weather because I'm coming
