Are you afraid of your doctor?

I like my pcp so much that I made an appointment to see him on Monday, even though I just want to talk to him about my medications. I could probably hold off on this appointment until I really needed to see him, but he is the BEST. He backed me 100% on the start of this journey and even though I had been seeing him for years and kept gaining weight, he would always treat me with respect. No, I am not in LOVE with him, but I would like to let him see my progress since surgery. He did come to see me in the hospital. I am not afraid of any doctors either.
Today is the first day of the rest of my life!!

I WAS afraid of the incompetence of my banding  Dr. and his staff ( clinic) at Stanford so I called my insurance( after 3 years of putting up with them and giving them chance after chance) and MADE them get me to a different doc. I told them that they could NOT make me go to an incompetent department in the f'd up UC system and I was psychically afraid of the Dr. they changed me immediately , I refuse to take **** from my insurance and docs anymore , I am to old for it.
I love my new doc and his staff , I have had them about 4 years !!!

At Penn, we encourage all of our patients to be a part of the team - managing health and weight-loss is a responsibiity of everyone involved.

We also have videos of our own surgeons to introduce them to potential patients and maybe take away some of the intimidation people may have who are interested in weight-loss surgery.

Great topic!
