My dietician reccomended Celebrate brand but the Bariatric Surgeons office also gave a few other suggestions in the printed material they me.  I think Bariatric Advantage was one.  I tried Celebrate and really like them so at 5 months I am still taking that brand of Multi, Calcium, B12 and Iron, all chewable.

After reading lots of posts here, I tried the Centrum Silver chewables but did not really like the taste.  I take other pills (Dry D and Magnesium) now that I swallow so if money every becomes an issue and I can't afford the Celebrate, I might go to Centrum, non chewable.

I started out with Centrum Silver cuz my surgeon recommended it.

I now do Building Blocks because it is yummy and because it is yummy I actually take it and am compliant.

I have always used Bariatric Advantage except for once when I order from Bariatric Eating.  BE's vitamins covered the multi-vitamin, calcium and iron but they were very expensive.  Now that BE isn't responding I won't order from them anyway.  I have an order with them for their Hair Formula which I found to be a great product; however, they charged my credit card but I can't reach them.

I've been leary of trying any other vitamins, but I will try the Centrum.  I have the chewables from BA and can barely choke them down.

August 31st I'm retiring so my income will be reduced quite a bit.  I need to be able to take what I need but be able to afford it.

Are you talking about the Journey brand multivitamins?  They didn't really cover all that stuff anyway.  They said they did, but if you read the label, you'd see they didn't.

Centrum equivalent - CVS store brand.  or the equivalent to the Silver Centrum.
It has same vits and minerals that Centrum has for 1/2 the price (when I but on BOGO sale).

I still use chewables. It is easier on my pouch (it doe snot get stuck). and I can take that with no water.  I tried the pills - but was burping and hurting too much.

asmbs guidelines (even before surgery was an option to me it was always just the smart thing to do to pick the one that seemed to have the most of everything, if you're taking a vitamin why wouldn't you want everything in it anyway?), and cost

A. your surgeon recommended it
B. your dietician recommended it
G. you think it tastes yummy

It's what my bariatic center carried... Bariatric Advantage and it fit their recommendations exactly.  I also do think Bariatric Advantage chewables taste good.. to me they taste like Ice Breaker candy/mint things.

I've have been happy with this choice of vitamins.  The only switch I have made is to a 2500mcg B-12 I get at my health food store because it really does seem to give me instant energy and I have to take them less often.  The B.A. B-12 take forever to dissolve.
I also complained to them about their Iron becuase their 60mg (which I have to take) is the only flavor I don't like (Lemon Lime).  The smaller doses are strawberry and black cherry and taste much better but doubling up on those is way more expensive than just taking the 60.
They did give me the wrong recommedation for Iron (for menstrating women) so my Iron ran low at my 6 month checkup.. which is when I doubled up to the 60mg.  I might switch to another brand of Iron just to get a better flavor.

I am seeing a lot of replies for Centrum Silver chewables.  Does this vitamin cover everything your need?  If not, what additional suppliments would be needed along with this?

It has no iron and I think it has no vitamin K.  Most people need more iron than a multivitamin would provide anyway, though.  Vitamin K deficiency is not very common, but if you use a vitamin without it, I would watch your labs closely.
