You know my surgeon told me that the enzymes in the lining of my stomach caused my cravings and that after surgery I wouldn't crave a lot of the stuff that i craved after surgery. I didn't believe him until after my surgery. He was right! I don't crave sweets at all! The only time that I think about sweets is when I'm at smeone's house that is baking them and the aroma is overtaking me!  But I think about where I came from and I keep it moving.  I'm thankful for being able to digest some fruits, without dumping.  I leave that other stuff alone! Lol

I was worried about my sugar addiction coming back too.  I get an uncomfortable stomach if I eat too much carb or sugar. I am happy about that..  I notice if I have eaten a dense protein I lose all appitite for anything especially carbs and sugars but when I am hungry with no appitite for anything then I want to grab something like a chip or a sweet.  The lesson for me is to always feed myself choices that are smart and not based on my hunger for them.  I rarely get an 'appitite' anymore. I mostly just get hungry and light headed but don't really want any type of food in particular. Thank goodness I have broken that horrible sugar addiction.  I don't plan on reviving it.

This is great.
Just like all addicts, it is VERY easy to fall back into the trap.  I also agree with the statement that artifical sweetners may actually increase your sweet tooth.
