Trauma "anniversary" and food cravings

Lora you really can get through this. Why don't you make yourself some mac n' cheese with a side of potatoes and some protein. Eat 2 bites of you protein then 1 bite of your mac n' cheese than 2 more bites of protein and 1 bite of your potatoes. That way you aren't eating all bad foods and your getting in your protein too. I bet once youv'e had one or two bites of the mac n' cheese and potatoes you won't even crave it anymore. Be strong and keep your head up, you are always such an encouragement on the boards but we all need encouragement sometimes. This too shall pass, I always remember that when I'm going through hard times.

 I am sorry for whatever trauma you experienced  (don't think I am familiar with it) but I want you to know that you are wonderful and even a one or 2 day mis-eating is not a failure or problem. You have been so successful for so many years.

I agree with Kelly and Barb--EAT WHAT MAKES YOU FEEL BETTER (bet it won't really though) and then put it behind you until next year. LOVE YOURSELF ENOUGH TO ACCEPT EVERY PART EVEN THE NEED FOR COMFORT FOODS!

  May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

 Thanks for checking.  I am still not sleeping well at night even with Lunesta  (even last night I was up from 1:30 to nearly 4 am), but yesterday was much better emotionally. I have a massage later this morning, so that always helps, too.
